Great Re furbished hotel, in a good location, friendly helpful staff, very clean rooms with trade mark comfy bed & free parking ! Breakfast is an option and if you do is very good. * book in advance some of the nightly rates are very reasonable

Average premier inn experience. Food was good, staff were nice, bathroom with purple lights was cool. I suspected the bed might not have been clean… kinda smelled weird and there was dirt crumbs on the duvet.

Our room was south facing and very hot, there was a lorry turned up at 615am and was reversing towards our window. It made a loud bleeping noise and men were shouting. We complained and asked to be moved. There was a room directly opposite being cleaned which could have been used. Tom refused to move us and gave us 3 fans to cool the room, we already had one which was like a plane taking off. My husband was not with us and called to complain and Tom hung up on him Tom was very unhelpful and rude. The customer relations department said they could not help I would never stay here again and Tom should nit be in charge of a hotel

Lovely hotel. Most miserable reception staff I have ever encountered, especially the man who was on the morning we left. I politely mentioned that whilst I appreciated that they had put a fan in the room because of the heat, the state of it, it was beyond filthy, wasn't really acceptable. He barely acknowledged my concern, didn't look up from the computer screen, and just mumbled, I'll tell the cleaner. He most definitely should not be fronting a hotel reception. Hos absolutely not bothered attitude left a lot to be desired.

Standard premier inn- comfortable bed Bonus of free parking. No air conditioning but had fans in the room. Cooked Breakfast is made to order and was hot, tasty and fresh- the bacon was only disappointing thing.

A nice room, but absolutely unbearably hot (25 deg, see photo). The room had no air conditioning, in its place was a fan. When i turned on the fan, the front fell off exposing the blades and the dust that was on the blades was thrown on the floor, the bed and curtains (See photos). The fan was totally inefficient and didn’t circulate air sufficiently. The bed was comfortable enough, but because of the heat i didn’t sleep and at 5.50am the bin lorry arrived and very noisily emptied the bins outside my room (114). At 6.55am a food delivery lorry arrived and using noisy trolleys took about 20 minutes to offload its delivery. By this time i had given up on sleep, which was just as well because there was yet another noisy lorry outside my room before 8am. The shower was adequate, however the temperature control was very stiff and the water pressure was weak. I didn’t bother with breakfast and it was a good thing i brought my own teabags as there were none provided, or any decaffeinated coffee sachets. I don’t recommend this hotel.

Stayed recently for a work trip. On the plus side I was so impressed with the lady who checked me in. There was a fair few people waiting behind me to check in, when she handed me my card she didn’t say my room number out loud and pointed to it on my key. This made me feel safe as a sole female traveller especially after the recent news about another hotel chain. The only downside was there is no air-con in the room. The controls only heat the room but not cool it. Fair play a fan was in my room waiting but in this heatwave a fan doesn’t make a huge difference. I know it’s a huge cost but air con like other premier inn rooms really would be the best option. Overall the stay was great for a 1 night work trip
