Motel 6 Redding, CA - North

Spotless, peaceful, and priced for value. The hotel sits at Redding’s quiet north end—an easy drive to shops and restaurants, but far enough away to feel like a retreat. The retro ‘time-capsule’ shower delivers hot water instantly and works perfectly, and the generous dresser space makes longer stays effortless. The only negative was the slow wifi. I had to use data for my conference call.

Although the service was pretty normal, the first room that my wife and I were given was not up to the cleanliness. Standard that we have received at previous bookings. The floor was sticky wh3n we walked on it. There was a very large spider in the bathroom. The bathroom floor was sticky and appeared dirty. The staff was understanding and gave us a different room. However, the television in this room did not work. Apparently, someone had taken the primary cable for the antenna, which the staff was able to get a replacement. However, the staff failed to program the television, which required another trip to the office and complain. FInally, the television issue was resolved. This in all of our stays at this facility was about the worst. Poor cleaning standards, lack of the follow through on status of room conditions prior to someone having the room released for use.

I choose this place due to the location. 3 stars.

Key card only worked sometimes. Beds were terrible. No hot water if the basin. Room stank from the neighbors smoking outside. Got hit with a bogus "property damage" charge after we left.

Staff was great. Motel is right next to the interstate, so you do get a lot of noise. That is on the pool side, front might be better. Ok for a quick and affordable night.

The neighbors played their tvs like they were in the movies the walls looked like there was mold and the beds felt like they were from 50 years ago.
