B&B HOTEL Regensburg

We booked our 1 night stay for Christmas 2023, a few days earlier. It took 3 times to confirm the reservation online since their webpage was crashing. We chose an option to pay upon arrival and were charged only €0.01 reservation fee. A day before our arrival we received an email stating that our card couldn't be charged for the full amount and that we have until noon to send the correct card details or we will lose our booking. After explaining that we were given and chose the option to pay upon arrival, they said it's okay then. We received 2 emails about the reception working hours on Christmas, first that it's until 17h, then until 15h. As we arrived later, we needed to self check-in and pay at the machine, which went fine. However, the room we were given was not cleaned after the previous guest (the bed was not made, the dirty towels were on the floor). The on-call staff member immediately gave us another room. The room was very small and basic but clean (the 2nd one). The bed was quite small (French bed) but comfortable. The room was extremely basic equipped, not even a cup for the tooth brushes or a trash bin in the room itself. No closet, just a few open hangers. But the worst part was that there were strange sounds during the night in the room/building, like banging in the pipes or something. We didn't have any appliances on (e.g. AC/heating, light) so we don't know what these sounds were but they were very disturbing, keeping us up the whole night. The next morning we heard another guest complaining about it as well. The breakfast was good, a variety of bread, sausages and cheese, 3 types of jams, a chocolate spread, boiled eggs, 2 types of juice, coffee and cocoa from the machine, tea, sweet pastry, yoghurt, etc. We enjoyed the breakfast very much, although only the boiled egg was a warm option. The staff was friendly. The location is great, close to the highway, the bus stop is in front which takes you to the old town in 20 min, buses on Christmas went every 20 min until 20h (and until 22h from the city back to the hotel stop). The daily ticket for 1 person was €3. However, not much to do in the city on Christmas, even the Christmas market was closed. Overall we were satisfied for the 1 night passing by, but wouldn't book it for longer given the bad organisation with the cleaning of the rooms, the weird sounds in the building construction, as well as extremely basic rooms.

Very nice property. Loved having a code to get I to building and rooms! Loved that u didn’t have to check out, you could just leave. Parking was easy. A little tricky to get into Building from parking garage, but everything was great!!!

Right on the outskirts of town. We were checked in by a guy that didn’t want to communicate with us and got his colleague to do the talking. The parking situation is terrible. The towels are paper thin. Not what I’d hoped for.

Very small room for a 3person room! No space to open suitcases. Overall the room was clean, but the carpet was dirty and needs shampooing. Skip breakfast here as for the cost not worth it.

Excellent location. Very good hotel. Only drawback was the length of time checking in. Breakfast was filling.

Our football party travelling back from Budapest on our way to Frankfurt, Germany stopped off here overnight. The hotel is only a few minutes away from the A3 Autobahn. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and the centre of town in about 8 -9 stops away. As the name might suggest this is really a basic bed and breakfast type of place. We had a small, pokey room on the 4th floor overlooking the ample sized free car park. Our bus was parked there. We had two single beds more or less squashed together - at least my son & I had two separate duvets. There was a flat screen TV, a small bathroom with shower that worked well, good, stable WiFi and enough sockets for all our devices. There were no coffee/tea making facilities nor bottled water available. Oh, the windows could be opened for essential fresh air. I appreciated having a couple of vending machines in the tiny lobby to grab a hot chocolate before bedtime. Breakfast was a modest, buffet affair. No much choice and far from a full English breakfast that an Englishman like me might have wished for. Service was more or less non existent. There were a few people around and a pleasant lady re-filling things at the breakfast buffet but other than that - nothing to write about... For a one night stopover - OK.
