The room was big enough but not really clean. The bathroom also smelled strongly of sewage. We brought this to the attention of reception and were told to just let the water run, which is not very sustainable. It also didn't help much and is not a modern solution.

We stayed in this hotel for one night to bridge the gap so we could continue our journey the next day. Easy to reach on foot from the train station, very friendly reception and the room was spacious and very clean!

We have stayed in many B&B hotels and like the B&B standard - this hotel is the worst.
Location and facilities:
The air conditioning in room 211 could only heat (at 20°C outside temperature). At some point it was so warm in the room that we had to open the window. Unfortunately, the train station is very close by, where the station announcements announce arriving and departing trains every five minutes. We now know the timetable by heart.
Service and cleanliness:
We stayed in the hotel for three nights.
We neither saw nor noticed/discovered any room service.
We would have been very happy to have new, dry bath towels. Due to the lack of drying facilities and the lack of room service, we had to keep using the "old" ones.
After one day, we ran out of toilet paper. Great, no room service. At reception they gave us two rolls, which we could then take to our room. Great.
Breakfast:
Normally, the chocolate spread is served in portions in small containers - here there is an open jar of Nutella with a spoon that everyone is supposed to poke around in. Very hygienic.

We stayed in this hotel one night. Overall the experience was positive. The hotel is located on the Kiel "fjord" in a strategic position for those who have to embark on cruises (10 minutes walk from the terminal), it is also close to the train and bus stations. The hotel has private parking. Standard sized rooms, clean and reasonably soundproofed. Friendly staff. Excellent value for money. Absolutely recommended.
