Holiday Inn Express & Suites Reno Airport

Hi, we are disappointed at breakfast as the staff mentioned that waffle batter is over for the day and they are not ready to refill. Year over year hotels are increasing the prices and reducing the breakfast options and don’t know the reason. Just for name sake, hotels are providing breakfast with minimal options.

Thank you! Front desk kind and helpful to a young new traveler trying to get home for Christmas. It felt very clean, safe, and comfortable.

I have a certain criteria for a great hotel stay. This property met all of the great stay criteria for me.

The staff at HIE was so friendly and so accommodating. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was wonderful.

I checked in and went to my room. There were stains on the carpet and the matress had some brown stains all over both sides. At that point I used my phone flash light to really check the matress and found bed bugs near the headboard. I turned around and left, dropped my keys off at the desk and told the attendant. She didnt really seem surprised, not sure what to make of that. I checked out and went to another hotel. I wont make that mistake again.

Easy check in, clean room, love the Dove brand toiletries including lotion. The breakfast buffet was good with premade omelette with “cheese” , bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, fruit. I just wish the “cheese” on the omelettes was real cheddar and not cheese whiz. That was the only disappointing item of the stay. The hotel is close to the freeway for quick access, but not noisy which is a plus. The hotel around businesses so driving around at night is dark but again quiet and no issues with safety.

Check in was fast & easy. The breakfast staff was great making sure the area is clean and fully stacked. The room were recently updated, clean and comfortable. Everything seemed to be working excellent as what we always expect at Holiday Inn. Until we called in the morning to ask the latest time for check-out. ISABEL answered at the front desk & said its 2:00pm for $75. I told her we usually check-out at 1:00pm with no fee and ask if we can at least check-out 12-12:30 and she said in a very mean tone “yeah its still $75!” So I ask again what’s the latest time to check-out and this ISABEL front desk staff with no manners, no customer service etiquette answered again with no empathy, no kindness in her tone & I can feel she’s irritated & smirking when she answered “its 11:00 am & THEY just started doing that”. She said “they” & not “we” to represent Holiday Inn. She already show that she’s not part of the Holiday Inn team that we used to know by trying to put the blame on someone else. We’ve been to every Holiday Inn in different city and states & this is the first time that I’ve encountered this disrespectful & dismissive behavior from a Holiday Inn staff. ISABEL has no customer service, unapologetic and should not be in customer service. I didnt mind paying $892 for 3days/2nights knowing its our beloved Holiday Inn - all ISABEL has to do is say it in a nice respectful way & i wouldnt be writing this review. She made us disappointed with our stay.
