"This was my first time on Ngai Island. Since there are no roads, I searched for a place with easy ferry access. The deciding factor was the availability of a check-in area for the return ferry. Without this, even if the hotel staff helped with my luggage on the way there, I'd have to carry it myself on the way back. I chose Fantasy Resort to avoid that hassle. Another plus point was the pool. The beach in front of the hotel is shallow, like the others, but it's not too rocky at low tide and impossible to walk on, so you can enjoy the ocean at any time. There are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, and large trees, providing ample shade, making it comfortable to spend long periods on the beach. The proximity to the hotel bar was also a plus. There are several room types, and I stayed in a standard room, so nothing particularly noteworthy. However, the beachfront rooms have their own pools, which, while not quite as impressive as the overwater cottages in the Maldives, do have a special touch. My only complaint is that they provide a pool in front of each room for guests to wash off the sand, but there isn't enough water to wash it off properly, so you end up bringing the sand back home with you. As a result, some of it got on the bed, leaving a rough, uncomfortable sleep. The food was so poor that I would have preferred not to have the included breakfast at all, and I would like to see some improvements, even if it means paying a little more. The restaurant menu was limited in variety, but had a basic selection, and I was glad that they didn't have the pork that is common on southern islands. Naturally, the prices were those for an isolated island, and were similar to those of other hotel restaurants. I was tired of Thai food, so I ordered a steak, and they asked me how I wanted it cooked, but when it arrived it was already a little cold, so it was disappointing that asking was unnecessary. Relatively speaking, I felt I was satisfied"

Steps to go to the island for friends who don't know yet 1. Book through the app or call to ask about the accommodation price first. Because the price is not the same. Sometimes you may get it cheaper than on the app. Or the app may be cheaper than the store. 2. Once you have booked, go to the pier to ask how many people will go. The price per person is 350 baht per person. But if you want it cheaper, try to negotiate a round trip. 350 baht for the round trip and 300 baht for the return trip. 3. The boat will leave 2 times. There are rounds at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Leave on time. Wait 5-10 minutes in advance. Caution: Be careful of mosquitoes at night. You can bring mosquito spray or apply mosquito repellent at night (the accommodation has mosquito nets and plug-in mosquito repellent). Pros: Everything is good, whether it's the accommodation, strong shower water, good hot water, good service, good food, not too expensive. Some bars that are not on the island are more expensive. On the island, the price is acceptable. Good service, not too delicious food but not too bad. The view is very good. The water is clear. In the evening, the water level goes down a lot. At 10:30, when the water rises, the boat will dock. Note: In summary, if I had to give a score of 10, I would give it a score of 10/10, no deductions at all, because it's worth the money spent and it's quiet and not chaotic. "The hotel is located in a stunning location. The views are simply amazing. It is noticeable that the hotel has remnants of its former luxury, that it is ancient and has not been in operation for a long time. But the ratio of the price ($50 per night) with the service and the opening views of the island and the sea - only covers its shortcomings in the form of tired furniture. The choice of food is not very large, but we are not a picky customer. We were satisfied with everything, including breakfast included in the price and separate dishes that we ordered for lunch and dinner. The staff is very friendly and fulfilled every request. The downside is that there is no swimming beach, but after walking 1 kilometer along the beach, we realized that there are no ideal beaches on this side. And all the five hotels that were along the road are suffering just as much as we are, only the price is higher there. Another minus is that the room we chose near the pool is high up and it’s hard to climb up the steps into it, but this effort is rewarded with a mesmerizing view from the room or the pool. We spent most of the time at the pool, because... Swimming on the beach is not very comfortable. But I think that we are lucky, because... we were alone there. Completely alone, there were only 5 people in the hotel, together with us, and we saw other people a couple of times. It was gorgeous, chilling in the pool with the coolest views of other islands and watching the birds fly from tree to tree."
