Great hotel in front of the beach.Perfect position to walk to the old center of Rethymno. All the staff from the reception to the restaurant was exceptional, very professional and kind always with a smile. The food very good and the room with a sea view was lovely. We had a great time. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel! Very close to the beach! Stunning sea-view from the balcony! Everything is clean! Tasteful breakfast with sea-view. I think I have never eaten better breakfast in any hotel ever. Friendly staff. Strong recommendation to this hotel!

My family and I recently spent 12 days at Swell Boutique Hotel in Crete, and we had a great time. The hotel has a very modern feel, and we enjoyed the variety of breakfast options, especially the fresh orange juice. The hotel staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and we appreciated the overall ambiance of the hotel. While we enjoyed our stay, there were a few areas where we thought the hotel could improve. We suggest that the hotel could benefit from an outdoor area where local musicians could perform and Cretan nights could be held. Additionally, the swimming pool didn't seem to be usefull at all, as it was only cleaned daily, never saw people using it. Finally, there were some issues with our bathroom, including problems with water control and loose/difficult to use bathtub switches. Despite these small issues, we had a lovely time at Swell Boutique Hotel and would recommend it to other families looking for a modern and welcoming hotel in Crete. Thank you for hospitality!

Lovely hotel, great food, but not much to do in town.

Breakfast buffet: 5/5 Small but nice. All the food at the breakfast buffet was freshly prepared. There was also a large selection. There was fresh organic juice every morning and omlettes prepared on request with various side dishes added to the omlettes. The dessert buffet was very good, all good food. Room: 6/5 Absolutely great. Super room, super toilet, beautiful sea view. We booked the last room. It was with city view. We received a free room upgrade. We got two rooms, one bedroom and a separate living room with sofa, lounge table and sea view. Absolutely great :)) Gym: 4/5 The gym was very good for me. Good equipment. Lots of dumbbells that you can put weights on yourself. The climate in the gym was also absolutely great. Service: 6/5 I would like to emphasise the reception. He always took very good care of us and explained the region very well with helpful restaurant and shopping tips. Everyone was always super friendly from the cleaning staff to the service staff and the reception. Wifi: 6/5 The wifi was absolutely the best I have ever had in a hotel. Each room has its own access point. Parking situation: 2.5 / 5 Parking situation in general in Rethymno. There is a lot of parking at the hotel, but also a lot of cars. We always had to look for parking spaces which are often not close to the hotel.

Just spent a week with the great friendly professional team at this hotel. Lovely charming welcome from Yannis upon arrival with a drink and snacks and fresh fruit platter delivered to our room. Our request for a high up room with sea/beach views was delivered, stunning view of the beach and old town with sunsets from the balcony to die for. Room was set over two floors with fridge,hairdryer, 2 tvs, a bathroom, complimentary toiletries , spa bath/shower on each floor with aircon over 2 floors . Bed was super comfy , room were spotlessly clean and the domestic team were lovely, warm and so pleasant as were all the staff. Breakfast was took on the terraced dining area overlooking the road and beachfront, plentiful choice for everyone hot buffet , cereals, fruit etc etc - again the staff were warm friendly and helpful and professional- chef was wonderful too with an open kitchen on view and freshomelettes to die for. The hotel is spotlessly clean with a small pool with bar area which gets the sun in the afternoon . We chose to visit the beach which is right in front of the hotel and daytime drinks and food was served from the hotel. The beach beds and parasol cost £7 euro a day , snacks and drinks were very reasonably priced . The hotel is a 20-25 minute stroll along the promenade into the centre of Rethymnon we’re the Venetian port area is located and beautiful old town which is a maze of stunning architecture and beautiful restaurants and boutique hotels. We ate out numerous times and quality of food was high and prices very reasonable. There’s lots to do , places of interest and a ***** of bars for the younger clientele but always the warmth of the Cretans and stunning buildings and tons of history to enjoy. Overall 10 out of 10 holiday in this stunning town - we will be back and base ourselves in this hotel as for us it was ideal. Yamas…… to the next time

Clean and pleasant boutique hotel on the seafront, with a really helpful and friendly staff. Parking is limited but easily managed with a little help from hotel reception. The restaurants around the hotel are fun and good value, or a walk up to the harbour area and old town offers lots more great options.

From the first moment we arrived the man on reception couldn't do enough while he soughted out check in he brought us both a drink and some sandwiches the room was excellent we had 2 balconys both with a sea view the breakfast again was excellent so much food to choose from all the staff we're nice and friendly would highly recommend
