Overall: A generally sweet boutique hotel with excellent location. Glad that they had a room available for immediate check-in, given our long flight. Loved the bedding and the extra-thick quilt for winter-y weather. The room, though, does not come with air-conditioning, but you can make do with the openable window. The heater, on the other hand, works perfectly. The room lacks a tissue box, and the soundproofing is relatively weak. You can hear the small planes and the street activity clearly. Location-wise, perfect. Close walk (within 15 mins) to many points of interest, as well as lots of stores and restaurants.

This was a great choice for excellent service and location. Five minutes from the city hall where all tours pick up at bus stop #1. My only complaint is that there was not a desk or table in my room to be able to work comfortably. Cat is cute! The constuction nearby is a little bit noisy. I love the size of the refrigerator. I was able to fill it with my favorite foods and drinks with no problem. The receptionist was excellent. She was so knowledgeable about life in Iceland 🇮🇸 I do believe this will be my go-to location when I am visiting Reykjavik.

A great place to stay.

This hotel is nice and convenient as right in the city centre. Can walk to most of the tourist attractions and restaurants. Clean room and helpful staff which made us feel great for our trip in iceland Highly recommended.

The good thing is, the staff is good and there is a cute cat. Bad thing is, there is no box tissue.

The hotel is located right next to a bar, making it impossible to sleep on weekends. The bar's music was so loud until 4 a.m. that my bed vibrated, and it was impossible to get a wink of sleep. I've never experienced anything like it! I didn't know where to escape to in the room without feeling the noise and bass; earplugs were completely useless. How can anyone rent out a room like that? Unfortunately, they couldn't give me a different room either. When I asked if it was possible to get a partial refund for that night, I received no response. At that price and under these circumstances, it's unacceptable.

The hotel was generally nice, but I don't know why they required a CVV code when checking in, which made me feel very unsafe. No hotel has ever asked for this before.

The hotel is located in the city center and is very convenient for restaurants and city attractions. However, the bar downstairs is open all night and is very noisy, which will affect your sleep. If you are sensitive to sound, you should pay attention. But the room is clean and has hot water.

Although I repeatedly emphasized that I could make up the price difference, the local guy at the front desk still upgraded the room for free and recommended local food. The hotel is next to the square, surrounded by many restaurants and a small and medium-sized supermarket.

I stayed at the City Center Hotel in Reykjavik and had an excellent experience. The location is perfect: right in the city center, within walking distance of the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. Ideal for exploring Reykjavik on foot. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Despite being in a central location, the soundproofing was very good, making it easy to rest. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help with recommendations or any needs that arose. I would also highlight the breakfast, varied and tasty, perfect for starting the day with energy.

It's OK, a little noisy on the street

Great experience! The service at the hotel is impressive. The warm and attentive staff, comfortable and spacious rooms, and delicious dining options all made my stay extremely enjoyable. The hotel's strategic location provides easy access to various attractions in the city. It was undoubtedly an unforgettable stay and I look forward to visiting again.

Don't stay in this hotel. It's surrounded by bars. I can't sleep at night. The sound is so loud that even noise-canceling headphones can't help. I went to the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do. I really don't want to stay here. The room Very small!
