When I arrived the owner was on site and took me to my room. He had a local map, Iceland map, several different guide books, a printed sheet of all the info I would need all laid out on the table. He gave me some great basic overviews of the studio apartment, the local area, and was happy to answer any questions I had.
The location was so perfect! Everything i wanted to see in Reykjavík was very easily walkable. The neighborhood was perfect, very close to at least a dozen restaurants, shopping and so much more. The price was better than many of the hotels. I will definitely stay here on my next visit!

These are located not far from the Hallgrímskirkja cathedral in central Reykjavik. We had a studio apartment which was located behind the building and accessible by walking around the side. Positive: clean, warm, good range of kitchen appliances, comfortable beds Negative: smaller than they appear in photos, bathroom badly in need of renovation (cracked floor tiles, shower showing signs of very heavy usage) I would book again.

What a find! This place was great, everything you could need, and so clean. Location was also fantastic. The host was most helpful, taking extra time to help us use the on-sight laundry facilities. Highly recommend.

I’d highly recommend this place. Only small but it does the job, 10 min walk to bus stop 12 . On the main shopping /restaurant *****. We chose this rather than hotel as you can make your own lunches for the day trios also after a long day out you’ve no rushing about to find dinner out.

The host Aldo is very friendly. It’s a bonus to have a mini kitchen since we stayed 7 days and dining out daily can be expensive esp in Iceland. The shopping district is just a minute away. The grocery store is so close. I love that we are located at the main hub, it’s accessible to everything. It’s also walkable to the bus tours stop.

Alfred’s Apartment’s is the cutest apartment. Nice size for 4 people (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 child). 1 bedroom with 2 beds and 1 double pull out couch in the livingroom that teen said was comfy. Our beds in the bedroom were extremely comfy. Kitchen and bathroom. Equipped with everything we need, clean, and decorated with so much charm. Laundry is free, which has been incredibly convenient. The host has been both friendly and helpful. We are conveniently located next to all of the main downtown Reykjavik shops and restaurants and only a couple of blocks from pretty much everything else. Honestly, you couldn’t ask for much more. I would stay here a million times over. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Alfred's Apartments. 🇮🇸

Great location, decent price and overall a good option.
Parking will be an issue if you have a rental car. Being so close to the main road, zone 1 is expensive.
