Can you review somewhere when you’ve stayed there before? Of course you can! We first stayed at Lambis in 2015 and have been back quite a few times since. As someone else already mentioned, you will bump into people around the pool who just keep coming back year after year. Undoubtably this is because it just has such a great vibe, with extremely friendly staff, good facilities and it’s in a great location. I also visited Lindos as a single female traveller in October 2022 and stayed at Lambis - I felt very safe and looked after. This year has seen a big change around the pool, with a modern and aesthetically pleasing make over to the bar and dining area. The pool depth has been raised (not as deep as it was), which makes it feel a whole lot safer for kids and those who don’t like to feel out of their depth. There’s plenty of super comfy sun loungers and umbrellas, with a few double cabana style loungers. As always the food is fantastic, whether you just have breakfast or lunch. If you don’t fancy the 15 minute walk into the village, try out their evening meals - absolutely superb and exceptionally good value. Faidra will perfectly cook you up anything from a toastie to a swordfish 😋 Bar prices are great and cocktails are a good size. That first pint of Alfa in an ice cold glass poured by Christana is top tier 🍻 The rooms are a good size, whether you opt for a studio or a two-room apartment. Yes they are typically Greek and basic, however what do you need when there is so much to see of this beautiful island: bed, shower, loo, kitchenette with full size fridge, kettle, toaster and a balcony for your afternoon/early evening “prinks” (don’t forget the Lays!). The beds are comfy and our 12 year old is happy to sleep on the sofa bed as they are comfy too. I can vouch for this as I did have an afternoon siesta on it! The gardens around Lambis are gorgeous and well tended to. If like us you hire a car, there is plenty of space to park. The walk into Lindos takes around 15 mins if you head right out of Krana and go down the steps into the village. Takes about 30 mins to walk back if you’ve had a few bevvies, but taxis are cheap and plentiful from the main square in Lindos (around €5-€7). We stayed at Lambis again this July/August, during the devastating fires. Luckily we hadn’t booked a package holiday so we wasn’t unnecessarily evacuated from Rhodes. However, not once did we feel unsafe or worried about the situation and the whole Lambis family were very caring and understanding with their guests. This was especially evident when families were being relocated from the fire hit areas of the island who ended up at Lambis. So will we go back? Of course we are. See you October Lambis crew, just in time before your restful winter. Ευχαριστώ πολύ ☺️
