We went for the all inclusive option and weren’t disappointed. Such good value! Food was amazing. We had 2 meals there and it was fantastic. Breakfast was also good with lots to choose from. The staff are so friendly and really can’t do enough for you. We will be back!

I stayed here in October in one of the annex double rooms with my dog on their latest 3 night break - 3 nights b&b, dinner, sandwich lunch or packed lunch, afternoon tea, wine tasting, a quiz and yoga, all for £199. No single supplement which makes a nice change. Fantastic value. The service from all the staff was exceptional and they all loved making a fuss of my dog in the lounge as we weren't allowed to eat in the restaurant which is normal for hotels. My dog loved her complimentary sausage at breakfast time !!! The set menu is delicious but fairly limited. You can however upgrade to other dishes at an average upgrade cost of £2 - £3 though some were only £1 extra. There was a wedding on one of the days but, unlike in some of the reviews, this didn't affect the service I got which couldn't be faulted. It was my birthday on one of the days and the staff gave me a free drink from the bar. One of the waitresses wasn't going to be in on the day of my birthday so, the day before, she presented me with some cheesecake on a plate decorated with 'happy birthday' spelt out in raspberry coulis. Very thoughtful of her and totally unexpected. I only have 2 small criticisms of my room which was very pleasant. I would have liked to have had a bath mat as it got a bit slippery having a shower. I could have done with a lamp on the dressing table/desk as it got rather dark in the evenings there. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable 3 night break which was much needed by me and my dog.

Just returned from an all inclusive break, two nights. Good value for the price paid. Very pleasant staff. The house bitter was a surprise an enjoyable local brew. Breathtaking views when you could see them, the weather could have been kinder.

Just a follow up.regarding previous review regarding disabled parking I was speaking to the lady in question and explained that the car without the badge was mine and my previous car was stolen with the card and was awaiting replacement.she acknowledged and accepted this. just to put the record straight and fair for other reviewers. As was mentioned by the lady in question she had to drive a distance to return a dinner suite her husband had bought for their first cruise but it was the wrong size.hope they enjoy it and get their disabled facilities perfect

Arrived at hotel to find only 2 disabled parking spaces, one of the cars parked there did not have a blue badge. We had to park in the main car park and walk uphill with our suitcases. There was no one in reception so after waiting for some time I decided to go and look for someone to check us in. I found the receptionist in the bar. After check in I told the receptionist about the car parked in disabled parking space without a blue badge. She told me that it is not against the law to park in disabled parking without a blue badge. Not a good start to our stay. The hotel is tired and worn, especially the carpets but everywhere is clean. Our room had a beautiful view, was very warm and had everything we needed. We went down to the bar/restaurant and a lovely table with the same beautiful view as our bedroom. The staff were very helpful, the food was excellent and the wine of good quality. Next morning the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Dispite the bad first impression at reception we enjoyed our stay and would return.

Booked the Higher trapp for my husband birthday and relaxing night away. It was exactly everything we had wanted. Reception staff was very polite and helpful our room was the platinum superior, which was just stunning. The views were amazing and the whole comfort of the the room was Bob on! We had a two course meal which we paid extra for and we was not disappointed. The staff in the bar & restaurant were all fab. Very happy to help and lovely to talk to, especially Mia, Georgia & Toby, who all went out of their way to make sure we comfortable and happy with our meals. We then did the wine tasting, Mia & Gerogia were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable, extra pillows were there if needed. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, a good selection to choose from plus the continental. All in all we had a very relaxed and enjoyable stay at The highertrapp hotel and 100% recommended and return.

It was a wet and cold day on the 28th march we booked in after a long 14 Mike walk around pendle hill, the room was freezing cold and when we asked reception we was informed that the heating had been turned off until winter ! We had dinner and paid extra off the set menu for a leg of lamb, I had to ask my partner to cut the meat off the bone for me as I could not cut through it , we went back to the room and was kept awake until 1am because there was a wedding on at the hotel and our room was directly above the function room we had to listen to extremely loud music until 12:30 on top of that our window was beneath the glass bottle bin so every ten mins I could hear the sound of bottles being launched into said bin this went on until 1am ! The only thing I enjoyed was the fresh cooked breakfast ; when we booked out the lady on reception did not look us in the eye and did not ask if we had enjoyed our stay ! Probably because she knew that we had been given an extremely bad room and did not want any earache ! I have wasted my hard earned cash on this visit ; nearly forgot the premier room that we paid extra for was not worth it the bathroom was grim and room looked drab.
