Hotel Milano Helvetia

Hello my Italian friends - true words to true people :) Thank you for accommodations and atmosfere! It was pleasure for me to be in Hotel Milano-Helvetia. This what I write is below is for hotel crew to increase your service level. Why? To be perfect - yes, you are very close for this state and please don't take my words as a just empty criticism. First: I suggest that stuff in restaurants or in reception should ask guests if breakfast or accommodations is good enough. It will help you (and guests) to avoid for misunderstanding between client expectations and your imagination of good service level. From my perspective (Polish) breakfast was under my expectation and experience that I had from previous trips to Spain, Greece or Turkey. Today I know that it was typical Italian breakfast (sweets, cookies) good and standard. We expected to see more tomato, chese (like mozarella), fruits/vegetables (olives, grape, watermeton, orange, figs). But for sure this what we tried was fresh and tasted good (specialy for our kids). Second: Service room - jut perfect. Always on time, discreet and accurate. Thirdly: Reception always available and patient. I saw situation where some man who was spoken in Spanish or he has problem to talk clear in Italian (maybe after: "colpo") was trying to explain to receptionist how he would like to pay. Just one sentence for my side to receptionist: You was perfect with this very difficult customer - my true respect! Today I understand that Hotel Milano-Helvetia is always open for feedback and is flexible to make a difference. Why ? Because isn't oriented for mass tourists. I understood that too late and that's why I write this comment. Maybe if I ask for something different (breakfast) I wouldn't be so angry every morning whre there wasn't a table for me and expected food. What is/was the key? - Conversation. My fault I didn't go with this way but like I wrote I couldn't imagine that I can expect something more ...

My wife and I were part of a 53-member group bike trip. The bike guides are excellent, kudos to Steve, and equipment was good. The facilities were in great shape. The food was excellent!! The staff was very attentive to needs and always cheerful. It was very clean and had quality towels. We were there the first weekend of a motorcycle race and the streets were noisy at night with motorbikes. During the week it was very quiet. Bring a sound machine for the weekend traffic. Walk across the street to the beach or for shopping.

We spent a wonderful week at Hotel Milano. It is an incredible value for the price. Centrally located near beach and shops. Food was generally of good quality and plentiful. Room was clean and spacious. Ours was a biking vacation - Steve and the bike guides lead rides to all the beautiful roads and villages surrounding Riccione. Our bike guide Patrick was exceptional. Highly recommend we would love to go again!

I just spent a week cycling into the Italian countryside through a cycling vacation arranged through the Hotel Milano. As an American, I often hear the term "authentic" used these days. This vacation was an authentic Italian cycling experience in every way. We cycled each day (40-70 miles) along spectacular country roads with local guides visiting ancient towns with vistas of the sea and countryside. The package included meals as well -- real Italian home food. The bikes were great meeting the needs with carbon frames and good components. The rooms were clean, neat, and refurbished. All in all this was an affordable cycling vacation for people who want an authentic cycling experience among Italians. There are certainly more expensive, luxury versions of these packages you can buy, but what you miss in these is the authentic engagement with the Italian people. It's a block from the beach, had a great bar and incredibly friendly staff that speak great English. They even had patience with my attempts to speak Italian politely helping me with my pronunciation. You are also a block away from a great pedestrian sector with great shopping and restaurants. It’s a short walk from the rail station that makes day trips to other parts of Italy possible. A special thanks to Steve, Claudio, and Tommy who were our cycling guides this week.

It was an above average stay for our family. Our room was quite sp**** and the public areas appeared quite dated however it was perfectly functional containing all we needed and the staff were brilliant. Wifi was strong and facilities very good
