Stayed here many times and it is always fabulous. Staff are lovely, venue is beautiful and the whole experience very relaxing. We stayed in the coach house this time. They have been updated since our last stay in them. Refreshed but still very comfy. We had beautiful weather for March so sat and enjoyed a drink in the courtyard. Again a beautiful venue for a relaxing alfresco drink. Breakfast was the usual array of high quality food and drinks, with a hot option. Lovely stay as always, we will be back.

Beautiful scenic setting, staff were without exception, all incredibly helpful and professional. We enjoyed an evening spa, good size warm pool with accompanying facilities. Nice meal over in the coach house. As faculties are spread out over separate buildings with 5 minute walk inbetween, so rage could be clearer, we kept getting lost ! Also seemed very dark in car park, more lighting needed but overall- a very experience.

Absolutely perfect couples getaway. Beautiful rooms, spectacular service and top notch food and wine. We've stayed a few times now and nothing is too much trouble. The grounds are beautiful too and worth an explore. We always book a dairy hot tub room and I couldn't recommend one of these rooms enough!

Review of Middleton Lodge – Mixed Experience While Middleton Lodge is set in a beautiful location, our recent visit left us somewhat disappointed overall, particularly in regard to the spa experience — and we would not return for that aspect alone. The service at the spa fell short of expectations. Ordering a drink while trying to relax was unnecessarily difficult, which took away from the experience. The facilities themselves are limited: although the pool is advertised as heated, it felt uncomfortably cold even during warmer months. During both of our visits, it was largely unused. There is one outdoor hot tub, but it’s quite small and only fits up to four people, making it difficult to access during peak times. Although we had booked a three-hour spa session, we ended up leaving after just one hour due to the limited amenities. That said, the Coach House provided a far more enjoyable experience. The service there was warm and attentive, and the food was excellent. It was a real highlight of the visit and helped redeem an otherwise underwhelming day. While we wouldn’t recommend Middleton Lodge for the spa, we would absolutely suggest visiting for an evening meal at the Coach House — it’s well worth it.

Where do I even begin? If I had to sum up our wedding experience at Middleton Lodge in one word: flawless. From the moment we discovered Middleton Lodge on Instagram, I had a feeling it was special. Although we live in Surrey and I’m originally from Lancashire, we made the trip to view the venue—and instantly knew it was the one. We didn’t look anywhere else. The atmosphere, the people, the range of beautiful spaces (we chose the Fig House), and the ability to host a 'night before' event for our guests sealed the deal. With many of our loved ones travelling over four hours, this was a top priority for us. In the 20 months leading up to the wedding, we visited the estate four times—mainly to help our two daughters get familiar with the surroundings. Each visit, we were warmly welcomed, and our girls felt right at home. We chose Sunday, 11th May—our family day and my birthday weekend (which usually brings good weather… and it did!). Even before we were assigned a coordinator, the team were always responsive and helpful with every question—from supplier suggestions to table plans. Then, three months before the big day, we were introduced to Rhiannon, our Events Coordinator—and truly, she is an angel. One of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. A total credit to Middleton Lodge, which was echoed by everyone across the estate. Despite not being able to meet in person (we live far away), our initial Zoom call covered everything. I felt so reassured that I barely needed to ask anything afterwards—every email and phone call was answered promptly and thoughtfully. I shared my vision (including a champagne tower and confetti moments), and Rhiannon brought it all to life effortlessly. I’m usually super organised and like to be in control, but for my wedding day, I wanted to fully enjoy it—and thanks to Rhiannon and the team, I truly did. It was the best day of my life. A special shoutout to Rosie, who was incredibly accommodating and helpful, and played such a key role in making sure the day ran smoothly. And to Ross, who handled our party-loving guests late into the night with patience and good humour—thank you both for being absolute stars. One of the most memorable and touching aspects of our wedding day was how genuinely welcomed and included our daughters felt throughout the entire celebration. Every member of the staff took the time to engage with them personally, making them feel like a truly valued part of the day. Several team members even went out of their way to compliment how lovely, friendly, and well-behaved our girls were. That kindness and genuine warmth created such a comforting and joyful atmosphere—not just for us, but for our whole family. Knowing that our children were not only accepted but embraced by the Middleton Lodge team made the experience even more special, and it’s a memory we will cherish forever. Excellent food as always, staff were very attentive, decent selection of wines by the glass. Despite being early evening atmosphere was good and background music just right. We ate in the Coach House for a celebration and as usual it felt special.

We dined at the Forge restaurant with friends and had a fantastic evening and meal! The tasting menu was divine, great flavours and some really imaginative dishes. Would highly recommend for a special occasion Service was exemplary too and the staff all really understood the menu and explained the dishes really well Jake Jones and the team are doing great things and the menu is great value!

We enjoyed a lovely spa day and stay in one of the dairy rooms for my partners birthday. I wanted to surprise him and the staff really added to this experience. The spa was really relaxing and tranquil, I had a facial by Morgan who was really lovely and helpful in going the extra mile. Breakfast was also really nice, we had access to hot drinks, fresh juices, continental breakfast and a choice of select hot meals too. Would definitely return 🤍

We decided to treat ourselves and stretch our budget to stay here on our cycle tour. Definitely a luxury retreat - understandably specialising in weddings, but also a wide variety of beautifully decorated rooms and a really nice restaurant. This quality doesn't come cheap - but the place has a lot of really good staff which definitely makes one feel pampered. You can hear the A1M clearly - but somehow it doesn't matter.

Came to Middleton lodge for an evening spa, we had a lovely experience staff were really friendly and helpful and the facilities are really nice too. There aren’t too many facilities there and a couple of hours is probably enough I would say. But it’s so peaceful and a lovely place to sit and relax. As we went on an evening the only downside was the temperature of the pool outside. We got told the pool was 30 degrees and when we got in it we were shivering because it was that cold! The steam coming off of it indicated it was hot even though it wasn’t. Definitely not 30 degrees. Even the hot tub could have been a lot hotter, the longer you sat in it is when it started to feel cold. But overall had a good experience and would still return again :))

We got married at Middleton Lodge in December and couldn’t fault any aspect of the day or planning leading up to the Wedding. Along with our friends and family we had the most magical special day. From the moment we met Kerri-ann, she put our minds completely at ease and made every conversation exciting and took any stress away. She was absolutely amazing from the very first moment till the end of the day and we’re so grateful she was part of our day!! On the day Kerri-ann couldn’t have done more, she was there to help with anything and everything and the day went so seamlessly we didn’t have to think about anything. She managed to keep an incredible fire work display planned by our Mother in Law a secret, I had no idea at all and it was such an amazing addition to the day. Dancing watching the fireworks to my favourite song with all our loved ones will stay with us both forever! Every single person we encountered throughout our journey from the initial enquiry to the day were incredible, so kind, so attentive, the service was amazing! As soon as we saw Middleton lodge with Charlotte I think, we knew it was the venue for us and it did not disappointed at any stage. Throughout the whole process everyone has communicated so well and on the day we felt so at ease. We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better Wedding day, everything was perfect from the food to the venue to all the suppliers. We are just so grateful and happy! The accommodation is gorgeous as well, the farmhouse was the absolute perfect place to get ready on the morning! From the bottom of our hearts Thankyou again, you have all been amazing and we love can’t wait to come back and make more memories at Middleton! Could not recommend Middleton more!

Gorgeous room, lovely neutral decor and feature bed with bath in the bedroom. Also a shower room with sink and toilet. Plently of lovely fluffy towels, face cloths, foot mats and toiletries. Robes and slippers provided too. Be aware the tiled shower room floor is extremely slippy when it's wet. Outdoor hot tub for private use is absolutley fabulous even on a very cold day but be aware there are workmen in the garden walking past. There's a bistro style table and chairs and real candles. We really enjoyed this part of our stay and was the reason we booked this room. The room is supposed to have a safe but after searching for it contacted reception to be told it had been broken and they are waiting for a new one to be fitted. The television is supoosed to receive Sky but we could only get BBC1 and a screen saying weak or no signal. Couldn't get an answer on phone to receprion at 8.45pm to ask advice, tried numerous times up til 9pm and then watched something on my personal tablet. so mentioned the issue at check out. The food in the Coach House restaurant was of a high quality. I had sirloin steak and carrot cake. My partner had lamb ragu and rhubarb mille fleur. However the first main courses they brought were not our order and were placed down in front of us and the waiter had to be called back to correct the mistake. Small error that shouldn't have happened. I noted that the 12.5% service charge wasn't added to the bill when I checked out. I arranged for breakfast in the room and had it delivered in a lovely wooden box. Again the food quality was of a very high standard and very enjoyable. We enjoyed our stay immensely and didn't let the few niggles spoil a birthday treat. We would return in the future as its a lovely relaxing retreat close to home. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is a fairly new room to the collection and not many photos online so I've added a couple to this review for a sneak preview if like me you want to see in advance.

Very much looking forward to staying at this beautiful venue for a wedding. Booked a room ( not cheap £345) but venue looks stunning and considering this as a treat. Wedding starts at 2pm and we are travelling up from Oxfordshire a 4+ hour drive. Check in isn’t until 3pm so mid wedding. I was told we can drop our bags and they would take to our room. Fabulous.. I asked if there was a room we could use to change for the wedding. ( it’s black tie so I’m not going to travel for over 4 hours in black tie get up!!) was told No and offered a downstairs toilet for us to change in!!! I responded to say you have a beautiful spa on site? Surely we could use the changing facilities to change for the wedding? No response.. I chased.. no response.. expected more from a luxury venue that’s far from cheap. Now having to look at booking a travel lodge nearby ( additional cost ) to simply get ready for the wedding..will then be arriving at the venue in full black tie lugging bags to reception. Not quite the luxury or relaxing start to a wonderful stay/wedding. Let’s hope the rest of the stay, food and service live up to the expectations as we are not off to the best start. Will update review after stay.

We went here for a family celebration. It was absolutely wonderful and we couldn’t fault a thing. We had a room off the main dining room which was ideal. Food and service could not be faulted . Rooms were beautiful. Very spacious warm and beautifully furnished. Can’t wait to go back. Thoroughly recommend a visit.
