"Mid July 2025: If you, as any sane traveller by car has avoided Norway and the marvel of travel sickness and slow caravans called E6 from Trondheim to "Lofoten" and is traveling the E10 via Sweden instead, the recently opened summer service at Riksgränsen is the perfect stop for a good night in beautiful scenery and nature. We started our day at Pite Havsbad around lunch with a refreshing swim in the Gulf of Bothnia and arrived for a cool "After Ski" under the remaining snow patches at a chill 20C at Mereorologen Ski Lodge 6 hours later, after crossing Lapplandia in 31 degrees C on a Sunday so lazy the reindeer were camping on the hot asphalt refusing to allow passage to us humans."

Location: A 30-minute drive from Abisko National Park, with an ICA supermarket a 2-minute drive away. Services: This self-service apartment-style hotel is located near the Swedish and Norwegian borders. If you have any questions, please call the host for assistance."

"The bald guy in the restaurant-staff was super nice! He was very kind and funny, we made a joke that he built the entire establishment and he played along. Give him a raise, to be honest. He also made me and my two friends drinks in the bar and they were very tasty, he listened to our conversation and was very hospitable."

"Unbelievable views. Quiet stretched out fjord with long distance views. Beautifull snow covered mountains, even in summer. Peacefull, serene environment We spent 10 does travelling from Tromso to Reine and we are now on our way back. We are spoilt with top restaurants in the beautifull winelands around Cape Town. With this as a standard, we were dissapointed in the extreme with the food offerings we encountered along our way, except for Anita's in Reine and also here at the Arctic Inn. We had Pork chops with broccly and fried potatoes. The Pork chops and broccly was exceptional. This is a start-up business trying hard and accordingly achieving extra-ordinary standards. "

"The facade definitely stands out and the place was cosy. However, the photos were not representative of the actual place not exactly in a good way. We stayed in the designer cabin (which costs more) but were surprised by how small it was. I would not recommend paying more for the cabin during summer as there is not much to see and less convenient considering we needed to walk a distance to access the amenities including the toilets and kitchen which we did not know when we booked."

"This is a suitable stopover point for a long journey, with beautiful scenery! The accommodation itself is quite basic. Be aware that the restaurant closes early at 8:30 PM and offers a very limited menu with only four dishes. What's more, there are no other dining options available in the vicinity."

"The hotel did not meet expectations. The room was quite clean, but really hot. Parking in the parking garage of the shopping center next door was ok, but you should be able to pay for it at the reception."
