The Casa Nova Hotel is located in a decent area. There are some good restaurants and activities nearby. Despite the hotel's affordable offerings, it's not worth the money at all. Immediately after checking in, you're booked into a room with numerous defects. Lamps and lights flicker. Unpleasant smells, etc. After consulting the front desk, you were rebooked into another room. The room was infested with mold. The lack of hygiene is unimaginable. Something like that in a hotel is truly intimidating. The selection of food at breakfast is limited. The quality of the food is also below average. At dinner, the staff rushes you and stresses you into handing over your plate even though you haven't even finished eating. Absolutely not recommended.

Terrible cleaning, only one elevator working and a waiting list... the restaurant took too long and the quality of the food was not that great. The air conditioning was noisy, at 6 am a very loud alarm went off in the hallway that woke everyone up. For the price charged, I know of much better hotel options.

Check-in took a long time! The employee who served us is an elderly man, very slow and without any empathy. The employees on the day were more cordial and agile! The hotel is sufficient for those who are only spending one night. Room with moldy walls, rusty bathroom trash can. A man managed to open my door, which was locked with his electronic key, which was from another room (detail: I was wearing panties and a bra) I reported it to reception and nothing was done! Bed with soft mattress Hotel needs renovation Cleaning service leaves something to be desired in the room Breakfast very good but it says an order for a sandwich at night and the attendant forgot to take the order. I called to collect and the order only arrived after the restaurant closed, at 10:30 pm. I ordered a steak sandwich and the meat wasn't even steak. It arrived cold and tasted terrible. Extremely hard carme. Cold, almost raw potatoes. Very good reception, but the check-in was a little confusing, they couldn't find the reservation. La ubicación no es mala pero siempre es recomendable andar con ojo por los alrededores, especialmente de noche. El área de Lapa tiene una buena vida nocturna y una oferta de ocio y restauración variada. Desde el hotel se puede ir caminando al viaducto de arcos de Lapa y a la escalera Selarón, entre otros lugares. Las instalaciones son modernas y cómodas. En la azotea hay un bar y una piscina que le dan un punto extra al hotel. El restaurante está muy bien y el desayuno es bueno, aunque no el mejor que he probado en un hotel de esta categoría. Me encontré cáscaras de huevo en los huevos revueltos. La habitación es moderna, limpia y confortable. El colchón es cómodo y las almohadas eran un poco blandas para mi gusto, pero estaban bien. En general, creo que este hotel es una buena elección si quieres moverte por esa zona de Rio de Janeiro.
