I have stayed at this property for 3 nights. I was meant to stay for 6 but I have decided to change plans. Overall I found my stay disappointing. Pre-arrival: good communication through WhatsApp and Booking.com On arrival: not a good experience - duplicate preauthorisation from my card for the 6 nights plus extra. The terminal did not produce a receipt and the receptionist insisted I have to put the card through again, although I have shown her an instant message received from the bank saying the transaction went through. At that point, I have been traveling for 18 hrs therefore I couldn’t spend more time arguing about it. I was reassured it was not a duplicate payment/preauthorisation and if any mistake, this will be sorted in the morning with “finance team”. Next day, I have tried to sort this with various reception staff to no avail. They simply denied there is an issue and refused to discuss the matter further. At one point, I was standing in front of the reception being ignored. I have contacted the bank in the UK and they sent me a confirmation that finally led them to cancel one of the duplicate payments. I have wasted an entire day of my holiday on this. Reception staff - with some exceptions- are very cold and distant, even arrogant. Very rare you see someone smile and make you feel welcome. No apology was offered to me for the mixup with the payment and the very unprofessional way this was dealt with. Staff enters the room way too much. Morning and evening service is expected, however “room service” knocked my door at 8-9pm every evening. If the door is not locked, they enter the room. I would advise to have the “do not disturb” sign on at all times, should you want some rest. Breakfast - not included. Even to use the coffee machine in the room, you have to pay for the capsules. It’s not about money, it just leaves a bad impression I think. The room - nice, good facilities, nice bed, shower and the beach view lovely from the large terrace. Panoramic view of Copacabana, as long as the room is on a higher floor. The pool/beach - haven’t used the pool but the beach is service is very good, friendly and helpful staff and comfortable sun beds. In conclusion, I won’t be returning. I have been to Rio many times and there are much better places to stay in various areas. Although Emiliano looks nice, they are a far cry from what I experienced in other hotels in terms of hospitality and adjusting to individual needs and expectations. I didn’t feel treated like a valued customer and I felt quite uncomfortable throughout my stay.

Not here do accuse hotel as it’s impossible to prove it, it took some time for us to realize that when collecting our luggage few hours later after check out, belongings in suitcase were not in the same position as before, we just briefly checked the valuables such a electronic devices, passports, cash and had to leave due time issue, when checked in following hotel we found out substantial cash was missing, whoever did it,was very clever and put €notes in front but left only one €50 note in front and took the rest, same with R$, it was really but really bitter experience that after that much money we spent in Brazil we were robbed in 4* hotel, we did everything we were suggested to avoid being pickpocket or robbed at the street or beach and ended up being robbed by someone who probably laughed at our face, PLEASE NEVER LEAVE YOUR VALUABLES UNATTENDED HERE! Don’t do a same mistake, despite this appalling experience, our staying were just ok, we weren’t totally impressed, neither disappointed, fact that WiFi didn’t work was a shameful for hotel this category, only two lift available for large number of guest caused long waiting to get a lift available, breakfast was ok, location is probably highlight of this hotel, when check out we ask reception whether we could take a shower and change a clothes after long warm day, surprisingly we ended up on the roof top dirty open public shabby shower which we found disrespectful, no soap,so shower gel,,,,btw don’t expect to have a romantic coctail at the roof bar, basically it is a pool size of 3X2m, bar with no service and worn furniture, overall I wouldn’t come back again

Right on Copacabana Beach, a few hundred meters from the subway station, the location is impeccable. The booked balcony room was upgraded to a penthouse suite on the day of check-in. Large rooms have a large balcony, and the price / performance ratio can be said to be very high. Breakfast at the hotel is good and the service at the front desk and concierge is good. However, the reason I scored low was the cold water faucet in the bathroom. There are bugs in this faucet, and they will drill out with the seepage water. Many and many small bugs are still numb when they think of it. I do n’t know which kind of bug, let ’s look at the photos. I do n’t know if there are eggs in the tap water. At least I did n’t notice it with the naked eye. Imagine drinking a few bugs in your mouth when you brush your teeth ... it ’s terrifying!

The hotel is located in the core area of Capacana Beach in Rio de Janeiro. The surroundings are relatively safe, and there are many restaurants and business facilities, which are very convenient. The hotel is just across the street from the beach, perfect for a relaxing break. However, the hotel facilities are slightly outdated and the rooms are not very large, but it is recommended to consider the geographical location.

I stayed here with 4 friends and this hotel perfectly suited our needs. We stayed in an executive room with a small balcony. You could see Copacabana beach which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice for vegetarians and meat eaters. Lovely fresh fruit and a delicious walnut bread. We did not eat here for dinner so couldn't comment on that. Location was perfect, eateries and bars nearby if you do not want to venture far. Beach literally a 2 minute walk away. The rooftop pool was small but enough for you to cool off and sip a cocktail or two by. The station was close as well as Ipanema, sugar loaf and CTR. I would say this is not a luxury hotel, but more than suited our needs for a girlie week away In the sun. PLEASE - hooks in the bathroom, an iron board and tea facilities in room would be great. SHOUT OUT - to Leonardo, Marina and the other receptionist wearing glasses plus all the breakfast staff. You were all excellent and helped to make our stay enjoyable.

I have been hosted at this hotel for over 2 weeks. I had an excellent experience since the minute one. The hotel is located in an excellent area with far too many shops and restaurants in the vicinities. The rooms are extremely clean, the breakfast is also very good. During the period I stayed there, the entire staff attended all my needs and beyond, always in a professional and friendly manner. I am convinced that this hotel sustains one of the most friendly staff I have ever come across. This is a major asset in hospitality. I can't thank enough to the entire team of the Concierge, Housekeeping, Bookings, Maintenance and Catering. I would for sure recommend this hotel to those expecting to have a perfect staff in a safe and convenient place to stay in the city. A Cristina Galisi - England
