I have stayed at this property for 3 nights. I was meant to stay for 6 but I have decided to change plans. Overall I found my stay disappointing. Pre-arrival: good communication through WhatsApp and Booking.com On arrival: not a good experience - duplicate preauthorisation from my card for the 6 nights plus extra. The terminal did not produce a receipt and the receptionist insisted I have to put the card through again, although I have shown her an instant message received from the bank saying the transaction went through. At that point, I have been traveling for 18 hrs therefore I couldn’t spend more time arguing about it. I was reassured it was not a duplicate payment/preauthorisation and if any mistake, this will be sorted in the morning with “finance team”. Next day, I have tried to sort this with various reception staff to no avail. They simply denied there is an issue and refused to discuss the matter further. At one point, I was standing in front of the reception being ignored. I have contacted the bank in the UK and they sent me a confirmation that finally led them to cancel one of the duplicate payments. I have wasted an entire day of my holiday on this. Reception staff - with some exceptions- are very cold and distant, even arrogant. Very rare you see someone smile and make you feel welcome. No apology was offered to me for the mixup with the payment and the very unprofessional way this was dealt with. Staff enters the room way too much. Morning and evening service is expected, however “room service” knocked my door at 8-9pm every evening. If the door is not locked, they enter the room. I would advise to have the “do not disturb” sign on at all times, should you want some rest. Breakfast - not included. Even to use the coffee machine in the room, you have to pay for the capsules. It’s not about money, it just leaves a bad impression I think. The room - nice, good facilities, nice bed, shower and the beach view lovely from the large terrace. Panoramic view of Copacabana, as long as the room is on a higher floor. The pool/beach - haven’t used the pool but the beach is service is very good, friendly and helpful staff and comfortable sun beds. In conclusion, I won’t be returning. I have been to Rio many times and there are much better places to stay in various areas. Although Emiliano looks nice, they are a far cry from what I experienced in other hotels in terms of hospitality and adjusting to individual needs and expectations. I didn’t feel treated like a valued customer and I felt quite uncomfortable throughout my stay.

Experiência no ROALYT HOTEL COPACABANA De forma bem objetiva relato minha estada no hotel.

My girlfriend and I were very well received by all the hotel's employees, I was surprised at the reception with a room upgrade that raised the level of the trip, a very clean and smelling room, thank you very much to everyone at the Mirador Rio Hotel for the hospitality and mastery in the service!

I stayed 5 nights in one of the deluxe rooms on the 16th floor with a view over to Christ the redeemer. I couldn’t have asked for a better view - thanks to the guy who checked me in for choosing that room knowing it was my first visit to Rio. My room was clean but small, comfortable bed and pillows. Espresso machine in the room but no capsules were provided despite asking for them. Shower was good, rainforest head, water was powerful and hot if needed. Breakfast was an ok selection, pretty much the same everyday, cold cuts, breads, cakes, scrambled eggs, hot selection and fruits, coffee just about passable. I didn’t use the pool, it didn’t look particularly clean. Location was excellent, just under 5 mins walk to Copacabana beach. Most staff were friendly, some not so. I would stay here again if the price was right.

I have stayed here a few times and I love the location. However today I arrived early around 10:30am, I had sent message to hotel If I could check-in early and they replied yes. when checking they said check-in is at 2pm, but I showed them the message I got and they said yes I can check in early it would be 50 reias. I said why didn't anyone communicate that to me in email. It is not mentioned anywhere on their websites. I ask for the manager and he was standing next to the clerk listen to the entire exchange. He saud that is the hotels policy. I said they should at least advertise there would be a fee. I said I should just cancel the reservation, and he replied you can. ” I don't care how much money you have”. Needless to say I was stunned, since I never brought up money. I can only guess he assumed, since I asked for a manager and wasn't happy with the last minute increase if I wanted to check-in early. I asked him why did he say that, since I never mentioned money. I'm a working stiff 40 hours a week, but since Im american he assumed we all are. Rudest experience ever.

beach. Hotel looks good on first impression but on closer looking lobby is tired, sofas need cleaning. Rooms very very basic, covers so dated, doors shabby. There is strange sort of small lounge as you come in which doesn't serve any purpose. Curtains didn't meet, only two sockets worked. Air conditioning button seemed to have loose wires and you had to jiggle the switch about to get it working. The tv was a big old grey version (didn't think they were still used) only CNN channel. Breakfast not really good couldn't get a normal cup of tea. Not everyone likes flavoured. Asked for natural tea told didn't have any. Staff not very friendly asked if they could print boarding passes and told no system was done but clearly they were using it at the desk, concierge gentlemen were very nice. Just as well we only used it to sleep and shower but would not recommend this. Friends were in muc

Wow wow wow, I had the best time at Bamboo Rio - the staff are amazing especially Beatriz and Domenike who are the best, most friendly host who taught me a lot of Portuguese. Don’t think twice about staying here - I had the time of my life. It’s right next to the Copacabana and a short walk from Ipanema. Que Belezaaaa, love from Moises!
