Have stayed at this hotel various times before. Clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff and good breakfast. Will continue to stay here when in town.

I recently had a pleasant 2 night stay at the HIE in Rio Grande City. Check in was straightforward and my room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and there were adequate towels and amenities. I believe they even serviced my room which is a rare occurrence these days. The area feels safe although when I left early one morning there were several servicemen in camo gear carrying assault rifles over their shoulder while out smoking a cigarette on the side of the hotel. Really, is this necessary?

The staff was incredibly accommodating while we attended a family funeral. From rearranging room's and days, to late checkout. Breakfast was great, and the coffee was really good. (hope I wasn't charged for the 3rd room, that we no longer needed due to family scheduling). The stay was easy and im so grateful for such a smooth stay at solemn time.

It was very clean, the room was big and spacious for my moms wheelchair. The only con was I had selected a rolling-in shower accessible room but none were available at check in.

We stay here a few times a year when we come visit family. The hotel is great. Clean, comfortable and safe. Parking is easy and the manager and front desk ladies have always been kind. They recently upgraded their bath products and TVs. Definitely exceeded our expectations of a 2 or 3 star hotel.

No problems which is great. Convenient for what I came for. Quiet, clean, etc... Like other Holiday Inns Express I have been to they start breakfast at 6:30 but I was told the food should be available at 6. AS I wanted to be somewhere as close to sunrise as possible making it available at 6 helped so much. Some motels dont allow it one second before the posted time so having this a half hour early is something I have never seen and extremely appreciated. Not just for me but for all. Will definitely come back if in the area.
