Beware of "free Cancellation" period which apparently ends Midnight the day before the end of the cancellation period! Had to cancel entire Italy trip due to illness. Booked the room 3 weeks ago knowing the cancellation window ended "7 days" before first night which misled me because in fact it ends midnight of the 8th day before first night. Thus my request for refund was denied as I was "late" by a few hours. Lost 3 nights accommodation charge. Not very compassionate; I know it is my fault for not comprehending the fine print but getting too old I guess!
