Zostel Rishikesh, Laxman Jhula

View: Rooms often provide scenic views of the Ganga River or surrounding mountains, with some premium rooms offering more extensive vistas, enhancing the overall aesthetic experience.

Unfortunately, my stay at Zostal was subpar. The night staff's behavior was unprofessional and rude. They lacked basic customer service skills, making interactions unpleasant. Furthermore, I felt concerned about safety, particularly for solo female travelers. Improvement in staff training and customer service is essential for a better experience.

I have previously been to many zostels and other hostels too so please spare the "unaware about the hostel culture" thought. 1. While checking-in I requested the receptionist to help us with the luggage but he didn't. No service in zostel, ok understood. Later that night, they helped a 40ish aged couple with two young healthy guys along*.Upon confrontation, the two guys at the reception started talking to themselves saying "I told you so don't provide the service right now. Do it later". 2. Upon confronting one another staff of hostel Rishikesh we asked him the same question why was the service provided to those guys and not us to which he replied "we provide the service only to the people who are known to us". 3. Again not getting any satisfactory answers we confronted one another staff of those tell to which he replied "we provided him that service because he is the owner of the property". 4. The next evening while returning to our rooms the lift wasn't working so for obvious reasons we had to use the stairs and the sweeper over there started blatantly shouting at us. Also, we directly asked the other guys if they were the owner of the place and as expected they were not. Zostel Rishikesh is probably the worst hotel/hostel I have been to in my entire life. Hospitality- 0/10 Rooms- 3/10 Common room- 5/10 Staff behaviour- 0/10 Overall- 1/10
