Hotel Portici - Romantik & Wellness

We arrived on 27th June and stayed for 7 nights. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel is in a perfect position in the square near the waterfront. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed has got to be one of the most comfortable we have stayed in as slept really well every night. The breakfast was included in our stay and it was excellent. A huge amount of choice (including a glass of Prosecco!) . Everything from eggs, bacon, cheeses, cold meats, various breads and jams, cereal and pastries. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone thinking of visiting Riva and we hope to be back very soon :)

Our small family group (me my husband and my mother) spent 4 nights here just after Christmas and had a wonderful time. Gabriela and her colleague on reception were welcoming and so helpful and efficient. We had lovely rooms (104 and 105) overlooking the square and they were clean, very modern and well appointed. Very quiet at nighttime and we slept soundly! Housekeeping was very good also. We didn’t visit the wellness centre but heard it was very nice. We stayed on a half board basis and the breakfast was very good - the usual choices and very nice fresh pastries every morning. The dining team was excellent - led by Josef who is a model of quiet efficiency. We must compliment Adam and Sebastiano - always smiling and welcoming and their female colleagues who I’m afraid we didn’t get their names. Very good choices on the 4 course dinner menu - nice simple food well cooked and unpretentious. The location is ideal - close to the lake and the Christmas market and all that beautiful Riva has to offer. We didn’t drive but it appears you can drive to the entrance to check in and then park at a nearby car park. We had no complaints whatsoever and would happily return again. Reception organised our return taxi to the airport and allowed us keep one room a little later on the last morning. The staff make this hotel so I hope the manager realises what treasures he has!!

We recently experienced an exceptional stay at Hotel Portici in Riva del Garda! Not only did the delicious breakfast spread set the perfect tone for each day, but the prime location also allowed us to easily explore the charming surroundings. What added to the uniqueness of our stay is the fact that it's a pet-friendly hotel, making it ideal for us to bring along our little kitten. Grateful for this unforgettable getaway, we highly recommend Hotel Portici to fellow travelers seeking a perfect blend of luxury and charm. It's a place where every aspect, from the breathtaking views to the exceptional service and thoughtful amenities, radiates excellence.

The hotel is lovely and its location is great. My challenges with the hotel were all about the hidden charges. We stayed here last year and enjoyed free parking, free use of the spa facilities and bikes, etc. This year, because we had booked through ********** and not via the hotels website, we we now being charged for the things we had enjoyed for free the previous year. It seemed very underhand.

What a great staff! We have had a wonderful week so far, largely because the staff is so helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is also extremely nice and well located. The breakfast is well worth adding.

Decor is a mixture of comfortable modern bedrooms with more traditional public areas which gives the Portici a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Very Italian appearence which is exactly what we wanted. Ideal position on a pretty square by the lake. We were delighted to get a room with a balcony overlooking the square. Self service breakfast which can be eaten outside in the square included in the price. All staff helpful and friendly. Hotel may not be very suitable for persons in a wheelchair due to the ground floor being on different levels. There's a steep ramp and steps of various height to negotiate if you want to carry your breakfast outside. We hope to be back again in the near future. Highly recommended.

A nice hotel, amazing location within a 30 second walk to some wonderful restaurants, the ferry port and pebble lake side beaches. I would recommend staying here, my only mention is that the AC in the room didn’t work at all well. It was very hot at night was made trying to sleep difficult.
