I really enjoyed my stay overall. The location was fantastic—on a beautiful street—and the hotel building itself is stunning. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by a very kind Italian gentleman, which gave me a great first impression. My room, though located in a separate area, was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. Everything looked fresh and well thought out. However, I was disappointed to find visible stains on the bed sheets. While I believe they had been washed, the stains hadn’t come out and the sheets were still used, which didn’t match the high standard the rest of the hotel presented. I think they should have replaced them. Another minor inconvenience was the bathroom light, which was automatic and triggered the extractor fan. This meant that even during the night, using the bathroom caused the noisy fan to stay on for a while, which could’ve been avoided with a manual light switch, in my opinion. Despite these issues, the stay was mostly very positive, but I can’t give a full five stars because of the sheets. Hopefully this can be improved for future guests.

10/10 in every area but food was just amazing beyond belief.

Absolutely fab time st Elgano, sparkling clean and spacious comfy room. Alfredo was super gracious host in restaurant and all staff were really friendly and looked after me being a solo guest. Highly recommend staying at this hotel and I will be sure to stay again. Thank you!

Very clean, modern and comfortable room with a nice view onto the restaurant rooftop and the back gardens. There was no lift but I got help with my suitcase on arrival. You can get to the city centre in 10 minutes by walking through the beautiful Bute Park, or get a bus close to the hotel. The nearby Pontcanna neighbourhood has lovely shops and cafés. I didn't get to try the restaurant on the ground floor but it was busy both nights of my stay, a good sign !

Very friendly staff, lovely location. Stayed in the purpose built rooms in the back of the property. Nice size bed and bathroom, plenty tea and coffee more than you'd usually get. Only one little hiccup the hot water decided to stop working (it was working on the first night). Apart from that was a positive experience. If it wasn't for a cold shower it'd rate it higher.

A lovely room, clean and fairly well equipped room Good restaurant attached. BUT web site said breakfast with local suppliers - they no longer provide one. I feel I was mis sold. Room needed a few extras like internet log in, non slip shower mat. On road parking

Had reservation August 31st 2022 were warmly welcomed had a delicious meal in very attractive surroundings, the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere the staff were very attentive would highly recommend and will definitely visit again !

I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting family and I can't complain. The staff were amazing, Simona was incredibly accommodating and picked me an amazing meal on my first night because I couldn't decide what to have. The room is exactly what I needed, clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced for 2 nights. It's not luxurious, but who needs that? I don't go away to spend my time in a hotel room. I will definitely stay again, and recommended it to all of my friends in case they have visitors in Cardiff too. Thankyou.

Booked a twin room with my daughter. The room was lovely, airy and roomy. We was in cardiff to see Ed Sheeran and the hotel was on a lovely quiet road and only a 15 minute walk from the stadium. Would definitely recommend. Only downside was no breakfast available.

Well where to start!! Got here and found the car park eventually only to be told because we didn't book direct with them that we were not allowed to park in it. Ok take that on the chin paid £10 to park around the corner. Go to check in and asked what time breakfast was and got told that they don't do breakfast.....a b&b for £225 a night not doing breakfast are you kidding me!!!! This despite there website and *********** advertising their traditional welsh breakfast. Got shown to the room which was small to put it politely. This has to be to worst place I have stayed for customer service and overpricing I have ever been. Will NEVER EVER visit this crap hole again.
