Royal Palace Hotel - Al Olaya

The front desk staff on the first floor and the guy in the blue uniform were both excellent. Especially the tall guy who opened the door. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

I liked all the hotel facilities, and the nearby amenities were also very nice.

This is by far the worst hotel you could ever stay in. You can't get any sleep because there's no soundproofing. I was on the first floor, and I'd get woken up by any movement or sound from the rooms to my left and in front of me. But the people above my room? I swear it sounded like a war zone with all the shaking and noises that kept me from sleeping. I spent my whole day awake, just trying to steal a moment of quiet to close my eyes. Complaining to the reception was useless, and earplugs didn't help either. The bed was way too soft and hurt my back. The bathroom plumbing was questionable, especially the toilet seat, the loose screws, and the showerhead and faucet handle that kept falling off. The hotel doesn't offer free parking. The spaces out front cost money, and finding a spot behind the hotel is a nightmare. I hope I never stay in this hotel again. And let's not forget the room was full of touch-sensitive lights and sockets that you couldn't turn off, supposedly to make it seem 'advanced.' Just turn them off and spare my eyes!

Excellent, but there are a couple of minor points: the air conditioning is a bit noisy, and there's no parking. Hope they can fix these issues.

The stay was excellent, the location is superb, and the reception and service were great.

They gave me a room without a window, not like what was shown on the website.

They don't have parking, and there were no tissues or a toothbrush in the room.

Excellent with wonderful service.
