Horseshoe Tunica Casino & Hotel

Just returned from a 2 night stay in a Premium Room at Horseshoe. Probably our one and only visit I am afraid. Probably last to Tunica. PROS: The room was huge and clean. Our room was close to the elevator/lobby. CONS: There is a huge ”mirror wall” beside the bed. We are in our 60s We found this annoying. There is a television on the sink taking up A LOT of counter space. The room had 3 televisions. Why was it necessary to take up the counter space? The bathtub is huge with a HIGH side. Not for older people for sure (guess it's for 2 people, we are in our 60s) No coffeepot in the room and the Starbucks downstairs was closed afternoon/evenings. NO Food Options. Expensive Steak House. Need accessible plugs on both sides of the bed for charging your phone. The MAIN reason we probably will not be returning is that the slots are SUPER TIGHT. Both at Horseshoe & Gold Strike (which is right next door, easy walk). Neither of us won a thing, playing 2 nights. Guess the Tunica ******s are still trying to make-up for being closed during COVID?? This ****** is an hour farther away than Silver Star (MS) or the Alabama ******s and we probably want spend the extra time and gas to return. Did go see ELVIS one last time. If you stay here consider going to GRACELAND. It's only about a 30 min. drive away. If we hadn't done GRACELAND the whole trip would have been a BIG disappointment.

Arrived for a weekend family trip. Very disappointed in this property. From the moment we pulled into parking lot, their was trash all over and after 3 days it still remained. You will not get a room refresh due to “Covid” however if this was such a concern, there is very little other covid protocols in place such as frequent wiping down of machines and touch-points. There is limited security on site as cars park and block the front door entrance all night. You never see a security guard walking the ****** floor or patrolling the parking lot. There is a steak house and a celebrity grill on site. Save yourself the disappointment at the grill and go across the street to Sam’s Town. There is a coffee shop that was supposed to open 3 weeks ago and even the staff at the resort couldn’t understand why it’s not open nor has their management explained or communicated why. The property is not being maintained and should be considered brand damaging to Penn National. Compared to other MyChoice properties, Hollywood Tunica is the worst I’ve experienced. Maybe the manager of this resort should drive to Bay St Louis, MS Hollywood Resort and see how a property is supposed to be managed. If you want to compare how a resort should feel then simply drive across the street to Sam’s Town. From the moment you walk in Sams Town it smells and feels clean. Another example of a property that is well maintained if Fitz. Newly painted. Very clean. Great dining selections. Please note I’m not endorsing Fitz or Sam’s Town but if you want to compare, these are both great examples of well maintained properties. I’m not writing this review in hopes of getting something free like many people on TripAdvisor that write reviews. I’m simply stating that this property needs to be fixed before it becomes brand damaging to Penn National. I enjoy gaming at MyChoice properties, however Hollywood Tunica will not get my patronage going forward unless they change some things pretty soon.

Ignore reviews by people with less than 3 reviews that are too negative/positive. This hotel was in good shape, but virtually empty. My room was just fine. Good internet, decent bed, staff just so/so. Okay for one night while traveling

Room didn't have much in the way of amenities. It was smokey and very loud in the hallway. Staff was very helpful, friendly and nice, though.
