If you are looking for a fancy hotel, this is not the place to go, but if you are looking for a comfortable place to sleep while visiting a small town - then this is the place for you! We had a minor issue with the booking, but Shanna fixed it as quickly as she could. There is a whole wing of the hotel that has been recently upgraded and that is the area we were in. Our room included two queen beds, a microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge. The shower was good and the beds were comfortable. The room was also very quiet - especially considering the hotel was full the night we were there. There is no breakfast room or restaurant on site, however there is a gas station with a convenience store that has decent home cooked food and a Robins Donuts right next door.

Wanting to visit Conche and the other French Shore communities we booked to stay at the Mayflower Inn Roddickton. Information in the 2023 Newfoundland travel guide is incorrect. It does not offer complimentary breakfast. Nor does it have a licensed restaurant. In fact the restaurant has been closed since the pandemic. The only place for breakfast is Robins - basic but ok. The only restaurant for dinner nearby is the Lumberjack. Their meals are quite good but it is not licensed. To visit Conche and the area suggest you do a day trip from St Anthony
