Overlander Homestead Motel

Stayed 3 nights in a King Executive Room for $220/night. Allocated room 14. This is a well set out, well maintained complex, single storey with car parking for each of the rooms at the door. Our room had access from the car park & on the other side of the room a sliding door & security screen overlooking the lawn & towards the highway. Outside furniture is provided &, as this faces north, is a nice place to sit. The room had comfortable furniture & an extremely comfortable bed. The curtains have both thinner for privacy & blockout behind. Wifi was excellent & the air con whisper quiet. There is also a ceiling fan, a large tv with foxtel provided. The ensuite is on the smaller side with an openable window. The toilettries provided are good quality. The shower works well. We had breakfast delivered to our room 1 morning. Plenty of choices & delivered on time. The staff are very helpful. Rooms are tidied, bins emptied & coffees replaced & extra towels provided too. Much appreciated. This motel has a wonderful restaurant attached. Its a proper one with beautifully set tables, crystal & lacy tablecloths, & attentive staff. The menu is extensive, with a varied wine list, by the bottle or glass. Our meals each night were excellent. They are very generous in size. Highly recommended.

We did not stay at the Overlander Motel, we stayed at the Explorers Inn across the road. Their restaurant was not open on Sunday night, so we wandered across to the Overlander Motel which looked lovely. We were surprised to get the only table left in the restaurant called "Carriages" and were then told they are fully booked EVERY night. When we saw the restaurant, it was lovely - each table set with a white lacy tablecloth, the decorations were crystal. When we saw the menu, We were no longer surprised they had a full house every night. It was special! and the food delivered to our table was mouthwateringly excellent. we booked on the spot for tomorrow night as well. The ladies serving were such a pleasure and looked after us totally too. we were there in July 2025.
