"A very beautiful and traditionally looking hotel. A bit run down but everything is working well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were provided with a portable oxygen machine as we we experiencing with slight altitude sickness. Breakfast is very basic and local, with porridge and noodles and condiments and stit fry vegetables, steam corn and sweet potatoes. Situated within Dukezong Ancient City. There is a KFC, Pizsa Hut, Lucking Coffee, Mini Soo, HeyTea and a supermarket just round the corner."

"The B&B is right inside the ancient town, and there's a free viewing deck on the third floor where you can see Dukezong Ancient Town, the prayer wheel, and even a Shangri-La wall for some great photo ops! 📸 I'd recommend hiring a private car or taking a taxi from the high-speed rail station. Once you've set your GPS to Dukezong North Gate, contact the B&B staff, and they'll come to pick you up, as outside vehicles aren't allowed inside the ancient town."

"Upon arrival, I was upgraded to a suite. The hotel's ambiance is fantastic, and the rooms feature brand new decor and facilities. They even provide branded tissues and toiletries, which clearly shows their meticulous attention to detail. The diffused oxygen supply was essential in Shangri-La, effectively alleviating my altitude sickness. The service was also incredibly thoughtful and personalized. As a bonus, there's an adorable Giant Poodle on site! This is definitely a hotel I'd recommend to friends."

"Free pickup and drop off from the railway station, the location of hotel is near the station but south of the ancient town, it is recommended to take Didi cab to ancient town instead of walking for half an hour. Breakfast options are extensive with buttered tea (酥油茶) provided. Would be better if all food have the food name labeled on it so that we know what is served. They even have pig’s tongue served but I did not know until I asked but I have already taken many on my plate so in the end it was wasted. One of the washing machine in the laundry room was very dirty with fur inside. After washing I saw an old plaster with blood (from previous guests)! So I needed to wash my clothes again. The heat drying function of the washing machines do not work, the dryer machine is in another room at the back, but because there were no notice or signboards, we wasted a lot of time at the laundry room using the washing machine drying function. The clothing dryer machine also does not show the time needed to dry the clothes so we can only stay in the hotel to wait and go downstairs to check continuously. The room is overall comfortable but the bathroom light sensor is not so good, when showering the curtain on closed so it cannot detect movements and the lights will suddenly turn off, I need to open the curtain to let the censor detect me so that the lights will be turned on again. The transparent viewing glass of the bathroom from the bedroom can be closed by pressing a button for privacy purposes for none couples."

The guest rooms were wide and bright, with skin-friendly bedding that provided excellent support. The soundproofing was superb, ensuring a peaceful and quiet stay. There was abundant hot water with stable temperature, and the bathroom amenities were high quality. The staff were warm and professional, from check-in to responding to requests, always efficient and thoughtful. The cleanliness was impeccable, showing attention to detail everywhere. With outstanding value for money, this hotel is an excellent choice for both business trips and vacations."
