Maybe it's because they can charge you with 6€ per person city tax? I'm not very happy with this hotel. Thin walls, expect to hear everything from neighbours, the room was directly beside the restaurant, mildew (my wife had problems with allergic reactions), not clean, older than it looks, unrepaired damages / open electrical wires (dangerous?), breakfast is absolutely minimum, coffe machine spends only quarter cup (need to push it 2-3 times), mostly sweets for breakfast, cheapest food / bread, area around is really not nice -> full of trash / plastic / smeels dirty, streets are damaged a lot, nothing interesting except carrefour in this location, the hotel ofers nothing special (no sauna, no swimming, no sport, nothing), the breakfast room has no windows (feels really cold, like a school hotel), to get to rome it takes minimum 40 minutes if you have luck. For us it has taken minimum 1:20 to rome / vatican. Service said the commerce is open 24x7, I went 3km, it was closed, open only until 10:30pm. No sauna, nothing to entertain. Conclusion: I would spend a few hundreds more to get a real 4 stars hotel. This here was 2 stars, but really not more. For me this looks really untrustworthy. This was by far the worst 4 star hotel I've ever been. I really can't understand that high rating. Therefore I think, it's (again) just to get a high city tax. We have payed additonally 36€ for two persons for 3 nights. Anyways, the personal was kind to us. It's not their fault. It seems the management tries to get each cent from the visitors.

De Guestibus

I called for 2 double rooms a week, specifying and recommending maximum cleaning. The guy, a certain Emanuele, said he had 1 room available, but to not lose the client, he would take another room from a colleague who has a B&B on the third floor. Already at the booking he wanted to charge the amount of the holiday bonus (first strange thing) and I asked to do it personally in the structure. We arrive at the check-in, we arrive in a popular, old, dirty and miserable condominium, people who go and come without respecting the covid rules at least. We check in the first room and we already notice them the room completely different from the photos (this on TripAdvisor are clearly retouched, traveler photos are not there). The room was bleak with shoes, bleak box, and a bad smell, and of course the minimum necessary was furnished. I'm going to check in the other room 'from a friend', the guy doesn't find, we wait 10 minutes and it's finally going to open. We enter and there is a nauseous smell of cooking (indian kitchen or I don't know what) , we get the room and just open: broken floor throughout the room, holes, the bed (at a first brave look) has 4 hairs spread (hair, not hair), tight tent with two animals hang near. Here the odisea begins, I call this Emanuel complaining about the situation and the fact that he had assured me everything else, he spontaneously tells me that I can go away and would then have repaid me (for before seeing the rooms the girl at the We will go away and find another accommodation. For two rooms he asked us for EUR 158 (in Rome with these money go to the best hotels, what I found as a remedy cost me less, it was a 4 stars and say it was stunning is little!!! ) I look for the refund on Monday as by agreements (believing in the owner's honesty) and this Emanuele says the room was used and had to clean (but really?! Maybe he doesn't clean it every time someone goes there) and then for having drunk a bottle of water and made a pipi decides to charge EUR 25 for the cost. I also agree with this decision of starving death after he almost ruined us the afternoon, lost two hours, got forward and behind with the bags, around under the sun to find other solutions and after he himself had told the the phone we could go and would have paid us all back. At the moment it does not answer, I asked him to send me the difference (we're talking about a decade of euro) and to make me the 'consumption' bill of the room (Not optional Emanuele's receipt).

The location is average, but close to the subway, convenient transportation and affordable.
City Guest House

In Tuscolana, near the Metro stop, this B&B is located at the top floors of a stable in Via Opita Oppio. The reception is welcomed as hotel with very friendly and available staff. A very comfortable and comfortable chairs are covered with a veranda, which is close to the reception. The room was quite small and the bathroom was free of bidet, but the shower box was perfect with a wonderful shower jet, which was quite difficult to find in the B&B, especially in cheap people like the City Guest House. In addition to the excellent location, this hotel offers a great price-quality ratio. A very good restaurant nearby also allows a good level restaurant as if it was the same hotel.
Movie Movie Hotel

Movie Movie Hotel has quite new facilities, not like the dated hotels in city center of Rome. It was only 3 minutes walk from metro A line station. The hotel upgraded me to top floor with a spacious room. Everything worked fine. The only complaint was the tiny shelf (not a table) next to the bed. I found not much space to put things next to bed. Other than that, seriously it was a good discovery for visiting Rome for future trips.

The hotel service is good! And the room is very big, I have ordered a double room, and the room given is enough for 3 people! The location is a bit far away from city center, but it is close to the maestro station. The price is reasonable too!
