Orange Garden Bed & Breakfast

The first impression of the room was negative because it was rather small with dated furniture and because it overlooked a major road. In the end the room proved to be rather silent even in a period such as Easter when there was a large turnout around the Vatican area. The perfect location perhaps slightly distant from the metro station especially if to go with many suitcases. In the room, the bathroom was really a sore point because it not only needs restoration but also maintenance (the shower with the rod broken, the towel racks detaching from the wall ....) The breakfast was certainly bad, not only for the con the poor quality of the products and the lack of choice but above all because there was no buffet to which one could freely serve oneself but always forced to ask the waiters who sincerely once out of two did not understand or brought half an hour later ... also creating inconvenience given that many visits to the city were booked and with entry at specific times! Moreover, most of the things were paid for!!! Absurd!!!

Frankly for what has been our experience I cannot understand how it is possible that on tripadvisor it has a compressive score of 4 out of 5 !! Let's start by saying that the b&b is in fact an annex of the 4-star Atlante Star Hotel which is located a few tens of meters away, in fact both check in/out and breakfast are done there. The room was acceptable in size but not too clean, very old furnishings as well as the carpet (with a few stains here and there), the bathroom fixtures and 15-inch TV. However, what made the stay unacceptable was the smell of sewage that permeated inside the room and coming from the bathroom and despite our unsuccessful attempts to eliminate it (we tried to get rid of it by leaving the bathroom light on all night so with the forced ventilation fan is active) . The following morning we complained about it at the hotel reception and confirming that we were probably not the first, without batting an eye they apologized and gave us a room inside the Atlante Star Hotel obviously without asking for any price difference . In the end it went well for us but the Orange Garden Bed & Breakfast should have at most half a star, the other two and a half are for the breakfast room on the 6th floor of the Atlante Star Hotel with a view of the dome (moreover, even here the breakfast is not up to par than a 4 star !).

Ottima la colazione con vista panoramica dalla terrazza e la vicinanza a San Pietro. Nulla da dire sul servizio e l'accoglienza, ma sulle camere un disastro:carta da parati e moquette vecchie, luci e prese non funzionanti, aspiratore in bagno guasto e molto altro.... Peccato!!!
