Amazing hotel which immersed you in the full Roma experience. The location and the decor were spot on and our room was a really good size with great amenities including large comfortable bed. The staff were very attentive and service was first class from organising our airport pick up to final check out. Buffet breakfast exceeded our expectations and staff very quick to serve fresh coffee along with whatever else was required. Easy walking distance to all the main attractions and the area where the hotel is located is so quiet it’s hard to believe it’s so central. Definitely recommend this hotel to couples and families.

A super boutique hotel in a very quiet area. However, close enough to all the amazing sights of Rome. Many accessible on foot within 15minutes. The staff are professional, polite and accommodating at all times. We were given a lovely room with terrace and fabulous view over the rooftops. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was as expected, continental and plentiful.

I hesitate in reviewing this property only because it is so wonderful that I’d like to be able to return. If it gets too well known that won’t be possible. The area is quiet and beautiful . The hotel is quiet , beautiful and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful . Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Our room was incredibly luxurious with a sunken bath below the bedroom. The gardens are peaceful havens. We loved our stay and the concierge was able to help our friends to stay for a few further days. Breakfast was super continental with good variety of options and the sister hotel has a lovely restaurant for evening meals. There are some great places within 15 minutes to eat anyway.

This hotel is in the wealthy Aventine Hill area of Rome. It's very quiet - away from the bustle of Roman traffic but close enough to walk to the Colosseo. there was a big concert on at the Circo Massimo and you couldn't hear a thing from the hotel, and indeed it was a quiet stay overall; no room noise. We had the Maria Luisa room, a cosy double without balcony. It was very clean and had all the necessary amenities, including a kettle. The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast choice was large and plentiful, including cakes and honeycomb. There is no restaurant (there is one in their sister hotel round the corner but we didn't try it), but there is a bar and a nice front terrace as well as a peaceful garden.

Gorgeous boutique hotel in a leafy quiet area of Rome. Individually decorated rooms, all luxurious, and lovely areas inside and out. Delicious breakfasts and bar snacks. Our room had a terrace with lovely views. It was our second stay and we would be happy to return one day.

Just back from a 3-night visit to the Hotel San Anselmo. It's situated in a quiet residential area about a 15-minute walk to the nearest restaurants, bars, metro stop etc. A tip is to have a short walk before breakfast to the church of Santa Maria del Priorato to see the iconic keyhole view of St Peter's before the crowds arrive. Also the nearby Giardino degli Aranci is a great place to see fantastic views across the city The staff were very welcoming, there was an issue with one of our rooms as the previous guest hadn't yet left however it was quickly resolved and we were all given a welcome drink. Our room was clean, spacious, it had a safe, air-con & a mini bar (extra cost). The bed was firm & comfortable. Some may find the room a bit dated but that was the style of the hotel. The bathroom was large with a shower, our friend's room had a whirlpool bath. We thought the room was good for the cost. We had a daily cleaning service. Breakfast was continental style with a mix of pastries, cold meats & cheese, cereals & fruits. It would have been nice to have the option of an omelet or scrambled eggs. Also it seemed impossible to get a hot coffee ours was always luke warm. There are very nice seating areas both to the front & rear of the hotel, an ideal place to have a drink before heading out for the evening. The bar prices were reasonable, and the service was always very good. Overall we had a great stay and would return here if visiting Rome again. If you are looking for somewhere away from hustle of the city then this place is a fantastic option. If you would rather be in the middle of the action then this probably isn't the place for you

We stayed 12 nights in room 803 , it has a small terrace which suited us as we are smokers. The room was dark due to its position but that suited us perfectly ( not really sun lovers) . Excellent facilities, eg , hot tub , hair dryer ( but no dressing gowns) . The staff were very obliging and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location of all three hotels in the group,of which this one is the most costly, is on the Aventino hill, in tranquil conditions hard to reconcile with the expected pandemonium of Rome. There may also be an advantage in terms of air qualiy. We had one of the best rooms,on the third floor with a large terrace on the roof of the second floor, and some very fine decorative features, including an entire wall of parquetry townscape very similar to the actual view. There was some very convincing distressed “ antique” furniture, and the usual 4 star amenities. The bed was one of the very best. The bathroom was of good size ,with full length jacuzzi bath and good size opening windows.Apart from a lack of coathooks there was nothing to criticise about the room. The staff and breakfast were of a very high standard, and the public spaces, including a lot of shady garden corners, were elegant and functional. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at in five decades.

My girlfriend an I spent 4 nights in march in this beautiful hotel. We've had an romantic occasion to celabrate, so we've chosen this hotel mainly because of the romantic rooms and the quit neighbourhood. On arrival it became clear that the room I've had chosen, did not had a window that could be opened despite I requested this specifically on forehand. After making this clear to the reception they indicated they could not solve this the same night, but offered a solution for the next days. The next day we where offered a new room, which seemed to be an upgrade. This room was even more beautiful and romantic then our original room. regardless of whether or not it was an upgrade, the fact that the reception thought along and came to a solution shows the class of this hotel. the room where decorated in a romantic style and had all the expected facilities. Beds have quality mattresses, but are on the hard side. We did sleep good though. The shower has a good jet and the temperature for bath and shower can also be set well, so only positive about that. Price-quality is good. Staff is friendly and correct. For the price-quality to be excellent the hotel could work on some minor improvements: - Breakfast is good. But could be a bit more extensive (1 cup of coffee is offered, no baked eggs and only 3 types of meat). Quality of the breakfast in general is good though. - Check-in procedure did take a bit of time, due to the fact still a lot of paper is used during check-in. This can be done more quickly by using digital tools. - Shampoo and soaps where good, but not high-end products - Rooms on the ground floor seem not to have windows that could be openend and where a bit stuffy. So I would not necessarily recommend these rooms. The other rooms from floor 1 and higher where much brighter and fresher, so I would surely recommend those. The hotel is situated in a quit neighbourhood, closeby the famous keyhole and the "garden of oranges". It's a bit of a walk from all the main attractions (about 10/15 miinutes to metro and 20 / 25 minutes to the historic city centre). But all in all I think the location is very good and adds to the luxurious and romantic atmosphere of the hotel. All in all only minor improvements, because we did really enjoy the hotel and would throughly reccommend for sure to family and friends who want to stay in a luxurious and romantic hotel in Rome.
