Hotel Traiano

Excellent location where you can walk to the main places in Rome. The hotel is somewhat old. Very nice staff.

Huge disappointment. The tempting photos of modern rooms visible on the sites are far from resembling reality! A 4 star hotel?!?! Ah good?!?! Thanks for the false advertising! To reach our room, we had to avoid the paint cans in the corridors with our suitcases…. Atmosphere...works....We saw that some rooms had been renovated (perhaps you will be lucky enough to come across them). Arriving in the room: 1980s decor, time has stopped. Instead of a modern room, we had an old-fashioned room: peeling paint, damaged furniture, rusty shower rod, lampshades that don't hold, broken toilet bowl, hair dryer overheating after 2 minutes... Not to mention the sheep behind the bedside table... We could brush our teeth and go to the toilet at the same time. Practical? No ? Um no, not very glamorous. The bed was nevertheless comfortable, it must be admitted. Let us render to Caesar what is Caesar's. The breakfast is really not great compared to other hotels of the same range: industrial and very sweet pastries and pastries, concentrated fruit juices, some fruit, cereals and breads, cold meats, cheese, bacon and scrambled eggs (cold ). The positive points: - the geographical location (very central) - the staff is super nice and pleasant - coffee machine and kettle in the room + water. Basically, it's not dreamy but if you don't care about the room and just want a place to sleep, go for it.

The hotel is ideally placed for visiting Rome (between the Trevi Fountain and Venice Square). The building is architecturally beautiful, the interior is old but is clean and does not lack character. Our room was clean and functional, the staff, present 24/7, were pleasant and helpful. Only small complaint: the only elevator, tiny (2 people and their luggage). Good value for money in the center of the city, we will come back if we pass through Rome again.
