I went abroad for my first time and chose Rome. I found Hotel Ferraro on *********** for a bargain price of £154 for 3 nights. It was easy to find from Rome Termini- about 15/20 minute walk. The hotel emailed me a couple of days before giving instructions if there was no one on Reception. The hotel is on the second floor of the building. On arrival I entered the code emailed to me and my keys had been left on the Reception Desk with my invoice. I had booked a single room but was pleasantly surprised I'd been given a double room. There were no towels on arrival but that was soon sorted out. It's very quiet and peaceful- barely heard anything on my 3 night stay. The room was perfect for what I needed. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but I don't drink much tea so that was no issue for me. The shower I had didn't look much but it was honestly one of the best showers I've used. I like a few pillows and used a blanket to bulk up the two I had... the next day I had been given extra pillows. The rooms are made up everyday which is lovely for the price I paid. Location wise it is perfect! Literally 2 minutes walk from the Colesseum which highly recommend booking a tour for. The metro is also right by the Colesseum (€ 1.5 for 100 minutes travel). Roman Forum is literally at the bottom of the road. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. A little supermarket next door to hotel. I would definitely stay here again... I am planning another trip but this hotel seems to fully booked but I can see why it is so popular with location and peacefulness. I think breakfast is included but I don't really eat breakfast and didn't have much appetite due to the heat so can't comment on the breakfast.

Others will tell you about the hotel, I will address the Ristorante, it stinks. I have many hundreds of reviews and this restaurant is the bottom of the list. My grandsons ordered pizza, they refused to eat it, the waiter put food on the table that we did not order, thinking that someone ordered it, we paid for it. The cheese we ordered before the meal, had no taste. They asked if we wanted coffee & desert, I said if you coffee is good as your food, I would be sick. NEVER said that before in 75 years. I would call it, a tourist trap, you can do better. Also, I can not think of a restaurant, that my son & I walked out, without leaving a tip. As far as the hotel goes, only take them from someone who has a lot of reviews.

Unfortunately, an experience not to be repeated. I say unfortunately because the place is really fabulous, a stone's throw from the imperial forums, the Colosseum, the Vittoriano and the subway. But as soon as you enter the main door, the hairs on your nose start to curl due to the unpleasant smell of stuffiness and dust that exists in the staircase and in the elevator (which you must use while praying so that it does not fall). You enter this apartment / hotel: a very polite lady (the owner) welcomes you and shows you the room, after which it disappears forever, like the cleaning of the rest! Carpet in the corridors and very old and dirty furniture… who knows how many Roman dead mites are deposited there! The room is very poor, the cell phone not only takes the Wi-Fi, which also disappears during the day, so you go back to the 50s (I think the era of the hotel) in which cell phones did not yet exist !! The bathroom, a universal catastrophe! The sink is best not to touch it otherwise it falls to the ground, the shower is a small tub, and as such it offers you a small pool every time you shower (the water does not go away), not to mention the toilet drain ( no comment… one at a time without pushing please!) Our rate included breakfast…. If Casper was in the hotel before ... we find them the female version of uncle fester. Along with an army of mites and dirt. (Luckily we are vaccinated!) We just have a breakfast, the other days we try to escape in silence without being noticed to avoid catching the plague or typhus (they still perhaps exist). Unfortunately the review is negative in all respects, I am only sorry for the kindness of Mrs. Casper and Aunt Fester !!

The hotel is located on the second floor of an apartment building, a few inches from the Imperial Forums, the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia and all the main attractions of Rome. Less than twenty minutes on foot from Termini station, with a minimum of effort and good will it is possible to tour all of Rome on foot. The rooms are furnished in a simple and functional way, equipped with everything you need. After all it serves only as a foothold. Mrs. Angela and Mr. Giuseppe welcomed us in a very familiar atmosphere. They offered their availability and courtesy. I recommend it to those who want to fully experience Roman life, because you are really in the center.

Scandalous structure divided into two buildings 150 meters from each other. Our triple was a nightmare. Room located above a pizzeria (noise) the vaunted high speed wi-fi network did not work, the TV did not take channels because it was obsolete, breakfast included (forget it), and Colosseum view as written on the impossible description. I phoned the hotel to say that the TV and internet did not work, a woman replies and tells me that she will tell the manager .... I'm on the train back from Rome and I'm still waiting for the technician. Let me laugh in Italy it's called t. ... to avoid it. I attach photos
