This hotel has a raw minimal design feel, which I enjoyed, but might not be for everybody. Location is a little away from the shopping and main attractions, and at night it did feel a bit isolated, but I enjoyed my stay and the staff were friendly.

We booked this hotel on the recommendation of some friends, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Our room, located in a separate building from the main hotel, was brand new, quiet, and tastefully furnished. The reception staff were incredibly friendly, and the manager, James, personally escorted us to our room and helped us with our luggage. The location is simply superb!

If you are a lover of classic vibes this is the hotel for you. Clean rooms with great shower and acqua di parma products. The location is perfect as located in the city center and lastly you’ll find friendly staff, Chiara at the reception was simply fantasic!

We had an amazing stay! Their suite room is very spacious and with comfortable beds. It is a good thing that reception is available 24/7 and staff is very helpful, thanks to Chiara for helping us booking our tickets for the Colosseo!

It was very noisy and so I had trouble sleeping thru the night. That was pretty disruptive for my trip. The rooms must be very close together or the sound not handled well in that type of complex. I heard a lot od neighbor action in the night. The hotel overall was small feeling. Nice though otherwise.

A lovely hotel smack in the middle of the place where you want to be in order to start exploring the city. Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Welcomed by Adriana who shared all her insights in the city as if we were the first tourists she talked to. Clean and classy modern room. Quiet at night. Everything we hoped for

Hotel was really good, Nino at reception was really friendly and helpfull! Rooms are luxury, clean and positioning of hotel is really good - near all the historic places you want to Visit.

The hotel was great! The staff was great, particularly Nino and Adriana. We were assigned a room on the ground floor when we arrived. The room was spacious and interesting but located on the alley which was very loud very early in the morning because of road maintenance and construction. The staff relocated us to a room on the second floor, with a courtyard view without hesitation. This room was even more architecturally interesting and very quiet. The location is fantastic. We walked to every major site in Rome. The hotel was clean, it felt very historic and yet, very modern at the same time. I would absolutely stay here again.

It was perfect in every way! The room was great, and the breakfast was amazing. The hotel is quiet, and the staff are very nice and fulfill every request we have.

Coming to Hotel dei Barbieri is coming home to Rome. It is our third time staying here. In a bustling city like Rome it is nice to go back to a small hotel with a personal service and people at the front desk you know from before. A very complete, and healthy breakfast for those of us who prefer it across the way, has become a place to meet other guests. We have been away from home for over two weeks and have been sleeping in some ok and some not so comfortable beds; the last two nights we have slept like babies. The bed and room temperature are PERFECT and the water pressure makes for a great way to get going. We have been coming back to the hotel for a second shower, Rome’s temperature has been HOT, it is nice to have extra towels.

The building is beautiful and the people there are so helpful. They are friendly and kind and help with restaurants. They have great recommendations. And they help with tickets. And they make you feel so welcome. The fresco on the ceiling is stunning. The walls and floors are ancient. It is a combination of ancient and modern! And in the best location. Heart of the city. Close to piazza nuavona. And across from two delicious restaurants.

Very nice and helpful staff. The two rooms we stayed in (change because of overnight trip out of town) were very nice though the standard room we had first was a little small. Very good breakfast. Fantastic building, but the atmosphere suffered some from having multiple rooms built ”stand alone” inside the large, old rooms of the original palace, though the construction materials in part are very old and traditional (in a good way). The rooms are a bit darker than what the images of the hotel show. All in all we hade a very nice stay and could absolutely stay there next time in Rome.

I initially made two room reservations but later decided to cancel them both. Unfortunately, it seems that due to a technical error, only one of the cancellations was processed successfully. Two days before the scheduled stay, I received an email confirming the reservation, realized the mistake immediately, and promptly canceled the second booking. I then contacted them to explain the situation, hoping for understanding and empathy. However, despite my genuine effort to correct the error as soon as it was identified, I was charged the full amount for the room, and my request for assistance was denied.

Best hotel I stayed in since years. Right in the centre of Rome, within walking distance to all main sites. The hotel is so meticulously renovated with a lot of attention to details like materials and colors. Unforgettable experience! Thank you for having us !
