Best Hotels in Ronkonkoma

The front desk staff was nice and accommodating. The owners however, were the rudest I have met. Every time the owner was behind the counter, she was yelling at someone. She was condescending, poorly organized, and just mean at time. 1. I had overslept and so she said she was going to charge me a late checkout fee. Fine. I said, I will book the room for an additional night to make up for it. Once it as booked, she then said she was going to charge me the late checkout fee of $50 AND the additional night which I thought was completely insane. I would have just accepted the late checkout and been on my way. Not to mention, how she communicated was completely aggressive. I asked to speak to management, and she kindly advised me that she was management and that she's the owner and that there was nothing that I could do about it. (smirked and smiled as she walked off). 2. The hotel provides microwaves (sometimes??) but no plates to warm anything else in. I was referred to the gas station next door. They also did not have any plates 3. So she then makes me come all the way to the front desk to sign the deposit form again (mind you, the hotel is a huge maze of rooms and halls and I was at the back). It takes about 5min to walk to the front. She then allows me, to walk all the way back to my room, only for the keys to be turned off. I have to walk all the way back to the front desk, and she laughs and then gives me the key replacement. She intentionally did not let me know about the keys needing to be reactivated. Just all around disappointing and unnecessary. If you are this miserable, why work in the hospitality field

I stayed here for two nights on a business trip. I’m a loyal Hilton guest but this was my first time staying at this particular hotel. Staff were super friendly throughout my stay and my room was large, airy and very clean, though the floor of my bathroom was a tad sticky and the lighting in the room is poor unless you turn on all the lights… I slept like a baby on both nights — it was super quiet at night (though you can hear people in their rooms as you walk down the corridors), the bed was suuuuuper comfortable and the room temperature just right! I still remain surprised at the lack of recycling efforts in guest rooms (a downfall of most Hiltons, unfortunately) and I was also surprised at the lack of toiletries provided in the bathroom (see photo).……..and the shower was in a very strange position — you had to squeeze in next to the toilet in order to open the sliding door and turn on the tap, else go fully into the shower from the other end and get wet whilst you turn it on. Very poor engineering! All this aside, my stay was overall a good one — and I’d no doubt stay here again — but there were two things that didn’t fly well with me (two things that may be fine for others!) 1. They have a VERY small gym — small especially for the size of the hotel. When I tried to use it on the first morning of my stay (around 6.15am) it was already “packed” and only one treadmill was working. I ended up leaving as there simply wasn’t any room for another person. There’s also no water or water fountain in the gym (I asked reception about where I could fill my bottle and they said they didn’t have anywhere to do this — so make sure you take a full bottle into the gym with you!), there’s no hand sanitizer, and there were no gym towels on the second morning of my stay. As someone who chooses their hotel based in part on access to a decent fitness center, this was a disappointing part of my stay. 2. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke on the first floor — I’m very grateful I was staying on the 4th floor!

Stayed here because it was close to a wedding we were attending. Room was smaller than average big chain hotels but not really an issue for us. Had a king size bed in a non-smoking room that was actually soft and not hard as most hotel beds normally are. Room was clean and on 1st floor which was nice. Room also came with a microwave and refrigerator which was great for the leftovers we had. No iron or coffee maker but again, wasn't an issue for us but if you needed one, the room didn't have it. The breakfast area was closed to COVID which we had expected. Felt like we were in a safe area. Check in/out staff people were friendly & helpful.

This is a fantastic hotel. When we walked in we felt safe, we felt how clean this hotel is. We really enjoyed our stay. We were relaxed and comfortable. The people here are so friendly you feel like family. They have parking spots out front for Choice Members. Last but not least breakfast is really good. We love this hotel and the people that work there. We will be back.

I checked in at 1:45 and had a 2pm conference call. That was my fault for cutting it so close. I was not informed that their wifi was down. That was their fault. I had to cancel my calls for the rest of the day and the wifi was out for about an hour in total. I would have forgiven this as I am not a picky traveler. The room was fairly clean and the breakfast was ok. What I was disappointed in was the attitude I got from the (I'm guessing) front end manager regarding plugging in my vehicle. I had already tried to plug in my car outside on the only plug, and, unfortunately, the plug tripped. This is not an unusual occurrence as those outside plugs tend to be old and worn out. I was told in no uncertain terms that I could go 'down the street' to charge my car and 'steal' electric from them as they could not accommodate my car as it was too expensive for them to maintain. I told them that is fine, I do not have to plug my car in as it is a hybrid, but I also would not be staying here again. So all in all, would recommend if you are a basic traveler, it was clean but it was not for my particular needs.

I was here for a convention and the renovations diminished the experience. The lobby was not done (in fact it was a bright white area with minimal seating). 2 of the meeting rooms were still in progress with bare walls, floors and windows. The worse complaint I heard from many is that the construction company took almost 50% of the available parking! Plus the Wi-Fi didn't work the entire stay. The positives is that the staff was very nice and the room I was in was done and very comfortable. I stayed her years ago and liked the way the hotel was then and I hope that after the renovations, the hotel will look even nicer.

Breakfast is typical of Western food, fried eggs, beef patties, bacon and more. There are breads and cakes, fruit and drinks. There are barrels of oatmeal, as well as yogurt and milk. It feels OK to walk around the nearest hotel for 20 minutes. The nearest commercial center was going to be more than an hour, 2.5 miles. I didn't rent a car and had to go. The hotel is close to the 495 Expressway to New York. The parking lot is large and the bed is large. My room has two large beds for four places.

Hotel service was amazing and staff was professional and beyond helpful. The room and hotel was spotless clean. My favorite thing was the overall size of the room, paying affordable rate and being able to feel like a king is always nice LOL. Book this hotel you will not regret your stay !!

The hotel's parking lot is free, with plenty of parking spaces. The rooms are also large and equipped with refrigerators, towels, hair dryers, shampoo, shower gel and bottled water. But the water temperature is not too hot and the flow rate is very slow.
