Lovely stay, equally lovely staff, gorgeous views

We really enjoyed our stay at The Royal. The staff were really helpful and efficient. The food was excellent and really good value for money. We ate here for two nights as it was very good. The rooms were clean and we had a lovely view of the river and the shops were close by so a nice location. You could park so everything worked well. Thankyou to everyone who works here for a very nice break. We appreciated our time there.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Parking at the pub was limited, but we managed with the outside street parking, which you can stay in between 6pm-9am.

Parking was a little tricky! Depended on the time of day.Room was clean and tidy. Balcony door was a little tricky!

We had a great view of the river and surrounding area from our room on 3rd floor. All staff very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy, food and drink selection very good. Would stay again.

Beautiful view from our bedroom, but the decor of the room left a lot to be desired. The mattress was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever had the misfortune to try to sleep on and the pillows were not much better. The hotel is well located for visiting the town.

Currently recovering from heart attack Staff kindly conveyed case and other belongings up stairs for me Most grateful

Parking was very good everything about the hotel was brilliant will definitely be coming back
