The George Wright Boutique Hotel, Bar & Restaurant

Old hotel with less people there

It was clean

Another great stay, super helpful, friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are pretty good abit worn in places but generally fine, nice comfortable mattress also. Breakfast is also very good and cooked to order. This place is great for a cheap town centre stay with onsite parking for only £5. I would stay here again for sure👍

Ive stayed here a few times, great central location and cheap onsite parking at £5. Staff really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are good and all alittle different, Basic but clean and good nights sleep. Breakfast cooked fresh to order from 8am. Yes there is the odd damaged item, mark on the carpet but overall great value for the money. Thanks for the extra milk as always!!!

Where do I start?.. Don’t let appearances deceive you by the pictures online. They need to take the word Boutique from their name for a start. The white bedding was that old it was grey and had dirty marks and blood stains on it. Bed was broken at the end. Shower was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been clean in months. Fan in room was covered in dust.. had to clean it down. The finally straw was rats running round the bins outside the hotel. Informed reception, looked at me with a blank face and wasn’t interested. DON’T STAY HERE!!!!!

This is the second time I've stayed here for business. I won't be again. Nothing about this hotel is "boutique" other than a tacky velvet bed with diamantes on it. I left 2am the last night due to youths getting into the hotel between midnight and 2am, running through the corridors and throwing chairs, waking everyone up with no sign of anyone telling them not too, or calling the police. The one positive was the breakfast, the cooked breakfast was lovely

A very odd set up - You arrive and walk through a conservatory then into a bar area with a small desk. Fella who checked us in was rude and unwelcoming. Shame as the location is great, (we were there for the football) and the room was clean and a good size. They also charge £5 for parking which is not good

Good things, staff were friendly, bar was ok, cooked breakfast was good. Bad things, bed not too comfortable, towels not changed or room cleaned in a 4 night stay, breakfast not available until 8am, rather run down Hotel is quirky, fairly central to Rotherham but up a hill, behind other buildings No evening meals as suggested, but you could get a takeaway or have food delivered and sit at their tables

Bed was like sleeping in bricks and the blinds only covered 3/4s of the window so let light in all night. Solid bed and light meant zero sleep. The breakfast was ok but staff serving more interested in chatting on their phone
