The James Rotterdam

It's a mixed bag. On the upside, it's within walking distance of the train station, and the price is decent. Plus, there's a pedestrian street downstairs with lots of food options. The downsides are that the 'economy' room feels like an afterthought, a leftover space from other rooms. The layout is really odd, the room is small, and it definitely doesn't feel like a 4-star hotel. The tea station was so badly designed that the kettle couldn't even sit flat. To top it off, the kettle was dusty and still had cold water left by the previous guest, clearly showing that this part hadn't been cleaned at all. The public area on the second floor is a highlight though; it's very pretty, a good spot to relax if you don't want to stay in your room.

This is my second stay here. The room is super spacious (I feel like I got a steal, booked it for 800 and it's on the second floor). As soon as I walked in, it was absolutely amazing! The bed is huge and really comfortable, and the room is pretty quiet. The desk is also quite large, which is great for working.
