Zedwell Greenwich

Nice stay! Our room was very clean apart from one small thing in the shower. The room design was nice, and the addition of AC made it a comfortable stay. The door to the toilet/shower is opaque and is directly in front of the toilet, which is slightly off-putting, moreover instead of a door knob it's just a hole. Design wise it's cool but functionally not cool. Location is great! Close to some great restaurants and cafes, as well beautiful sights.

The location is convenient with buses and trains are nearby.The environments is clean and the coffee is good. 2 Tesco Express are in the neighborhood. The hotel is clean and new.

If you want to stay in an overpriced cupboard 45 minutes from Westminster, this is perfect for you! I paid £103 a night, which isn’t cheap. The room is tiny and windowless, and it’s in Greenwich. I knew all that going in, but it was the cheapest presentable option, so I didn’t have much choice. The lobby is beautiful and check-in was fast, staff were friendly and welcoming. Shame the rest doesn’t match. The lift is small (bad news if you’ve got more than one case), hallways are dark, carpet’s dirty, and there are no windows anywhere, even in the corridors, so you’ve no idea what’s happening outside. The room is basically empty. Bed, towels, toilet roll, shampoo and body wash. No bedside table, TV, water, or hairdryer. For £100+ a night, that’s stingy. It’s an 8 minute walk to the DLR, but Westminster is about 50 minutes away. Fine as a place to just sleep, not much else. Great front door, forgettable everything behind it.

Zedwell is a no nonsense hotel that offers a minamlist approach to room furnishings without compromising on what matters- comfortable bed, fresh towels, really excellent air conditioning and a powerful hot shower. Check in is a breeze using the automated machine but their are staff to hand should there be any issue. Yes there are no windows but this is mentioned very clearly and means the room is super quiet for an excellent nights sleep. The location is beautiful- there is The Gym Group very close which I paid to use (£25 for three day pass) and there is a coffee shop 2 mins walk away. The cutty sark DLR is about 10 minutes walk away and connects to central London with ease. Greenwich is an oasis from the madness of central London.

I thought I'd get a bit more, but the room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the shower worked perfectly. The best part was the air conditioning, which was much needed in the weather we had, so no complaints about it.

The air-conditioning is very good! But no teeth brushes and even no glasses in the room.

Convenient location, close to bus stop / tube station. Nice experience and happy with my stay.

Great location for transport to the O2, reasonable pricing, helpful staff, vending machines are available to purchase snacks , due to nature of the hotel there are no drink making facilities in the rooms and no restaurant on site but this is widely known and expected, local cafe discounts offered nearby if staying here. I stay in hotels weekly for work and this was one of the most disappointing stays I’ve had in a long time. To be fair, the bed was comfortable and the front-of-house staff were polite and helpful throughout. Check-in was also smooth. Unfortunately, almost everything else about the room was frustrating. The hotel markets itself as a sleep-focused, calming environment, but it was literally one of the least restful hotel rooms I’ve stayed in. There was a very bright green light in the room all night which seriously disrupted my sleep (see pictures), and the ventilation system could not be turned off, meaning there was constant background noise throughout the night. There were also multiple basic issues: * no toilet roll in the room on arrival, * some plugs not working, * no practical storage or surfaces for clothes/bags, * nowhere safe or sensible to place a phone while charging, * and a vibrating/shaking headboard at intervals during the night What frustrated me most was the situation regarding drinking water. At around 3am I woke up extremely thirsty and realised there was no water provided in the room, no cups/glasses, and bottled water was only available via expensive vending machines. Reception told me the bathroom tap water was safe to drink, but because there was nothing in the room to drink from, I was asked to come downstairs alone in the middle of the night just to collect a paper cup. Minimalist design is one thing, but basic comfort and practicality still matter. This felt less like a thoughtfully designed hotel and more like essential amenities had simply been removed. I also raised these concerns directly with the hotel afterwards and found their response dismissive and disappointing. Several concerns were brushed off as “design choices”, important points (including the water situation overnight) were not properly addressed, and there has been very little accountability taken for the overall guest experience. The staff themselves were good, but the overall room experience was so poor and nowhere near what was advertised.
