Woodland Grange

Staff at Reception were very professional and provided all the information needed. - Whitney in particular who greeted us and was very friendly. The location and grounds were tremendous . We arrived on a day with poor weather . Even then the landscape and trees really enhanced the hotel. Otherwise the facilities were very good. Bar and lounge and restaurant exceptional and spacious. Food was dry good and well presented particularly for evening meal. The Room on the first floor was spacious and private and quiet as requested. With nice touch of a fan for cooling. Perhaps a little more attention could be paid to cleanliness in the bathroom and poor attention to detail on broken handles for operating shower Some corridors leading to rooms looked well used particularly internal doors and wall needing decorating and attention to ‘smarten’ their appearance. Overall my partner and I would give a rating of 7 out of 10.

Lovely hotel the room was clean and big  Food was amazing we had buffet dinner and breakfast with such a great choice of food

is a realy nice hotel, the only bad part is that there is no aircon so if it is warm it will be hard to sleep overnight

Lovely hotel, fresh clean rooms. Very quiet location considering it is close to the main road. Breakfast buffet was good quality and wide selection. Staff were friendly. Games room added extra fun with the stay.

The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was on par with some of the best I’ve had. Ideal for one night stays

No complaints, lovely room and breakfast.

We chose this hotel as it had a restaurant, however on arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed due to a function, but that the bar would be able to provide a meal. We passed the bar on the way to our room & were kindly given a menu to look at. After dropping our luggage we returned to the bar to eat, only to be told that the bar had stopped serving meals due to the function. After a long drive to reach the hotel, we then had to drive out again to find the nearest town to eat. On our return to the hotel the function was still going on, and we were told that the loud music would not stop until midnight! If only we had been told about the issues the function could cause ahead of our stay - we could have then made other arrangements for eating...and possibly staying. We returned to our room to find that there was water covering the bathroom floor! I went down to reception to let them know, & a staff member came up with a mop, & told us to let them know if the problem reoccurred. As it was very late by this time & we both wanted showers before bed we got on with it & mopped the recurring leak (possibly from the WC) with towels overnight. Not a very satisfactory stay. The one redeeming feature was the breakfast, which was above average.

Good hotel in nice surroundings.Hotel was clean, quiet and had all that I needed. Room was bright, well ventilated and clean. Communal areas looked ok but I didn't use any facilities. Breakfast was good quality and choice. Hotel looks and felt set up for conference/training which gave it a cold feel. I would stay here again.
