We stayed here one night on our cycling trip, and after a rough start (rather grouchy proprietor man at the front desk who didn’t speak any English and seemed sick of cycling guests, although we were only 4 easygoing people), enjoyed our stay. Bike storage was up around the corner through a garage that the proprietor had to open for us. We had a nice big room (though our friends had a tiny single next door to us and a larger single across the street and up several flights of stairs, so they were less thrilled). Our room was over the little walking street but quiet and comfortable. There was plenty of space, a big bed, closets and shelves, a big bathroom, and a good little desk and fast Wifi. The hotel is in a great location in the main old streets of Zell, with one side facing the river and the other the walking street. There is a good, expansive breakfast buffet in the huge dining room downstairs overlooking the river, with friendly and bustling service. Strangely, even though it was still tourist season (early Sept), and it was a Tuesday night, we found almost no restaurants open for dinner and were even turned away at more than one (at 7-7:30pm). But we ended up having an excellent dinner at a friendly Italian restaurant near the hotel.

I was very glad to have stayed here! I messed up on my travel arrangements and arrived about 4 hours later as it was getting dusk. They could not have been more friendly and I had a very good meal without rush. I will return. Some way from the station

We stayed here 2 nights after a day cruise from Koblenz, the hotel is in an excellent location, our room was across the street from the main building on the first floor, there was an outdoor patio to sit at, drink wine and watch people walk by, we ate breakfast and lunch in the restaurant and both meals were very good. This is a great place to stay in Rudesheim , close to everything

Met vrienden een fietsvakantie gehad met slaapplaats in hotel zum grünen kranz. Drie sterren hotel gerund door een familie zeer vriendelijke ontvangst! Kamers gerenoveerd maar onderhoud laat te wensen over douche is toch wel veel schimmel te zien. Onderbed ook veel stof. Erg warm tijdens ons verblijf en ondanks ventilators kregen we onze kamers niet gekoeld. Avondeten 3 gangen dinner, maar erg duits eten vettig en weinig smaak. Er is wel genoeg rondom om te gaan eten. Receptie en stalling voor de fietsen sluit erg vroeg om 20 uur!

Freundliches Personal, größtenteils, (die ältere Dame in "schwarz" beim Frühstücksbuffet ausgenommen) ab 8 uhr sollte das Buffet offen sein: es fehlte Filterkaffee, sowie Brot - kam ca 8:30uhr - kein S*****en, keine Croissant, was jedoch alles lt," im Schlemmer Buffett" angeboten werden sollte. Essen im Restauant war sehr lecker, jedoch die "Lounge Musik" nervig, waren deswegn nicht noch mal zum Essen da. Zimmerapp. fehlten Glöser wenn man Wein trinken wollte, - kein Zahnglas/becher da.

Zentral gelegen und alle Sehenswürdigkeiten fussläufig zu erreichen, tolles Restaurant mit Speisen regional und frisch zubereitet begleitet durch eine Auswahl der besten Weine des Rheingaus die als toptip auch gleich für die Daheim Gebliebenen als Geschenk in der dazu gehörigen Vinothek erworben werden können. Fahrradausflüge sind ein muss in die schöne Gegend von Rüdesheim und können direkt am Hotel geliehen werden. Für betagte Senioren die nicht mehr so gut zu Fuß sind gibt es sogar ein Senioren Scooter! Alles in einem mit einem aufmerksamen Personal und Service war dieser Aufenthalt eine gelungene & grandiose Auszeit! Herzlichen Dank an die Familie Nägler & Team und auf Bald …

Das Einchecken hat gut geklappt, sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer war im Nebengebäude, insgesamt groß und gut, nur die Jalousien gingen nicht so recht. Das Frühstück war voll, eng und von mäßiger Qualität.

Ich fange mal beim Frühstück an, schlechter geht kaum. Rühreier aus Tüte , billigste Wurst und Käse , wenn man nach 9:00 zum Frühstück kommt, wird nur mäßig nachgelegt. Für fünfzehn Euro eine Frechheit. Den Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer muss man auslassen, macht einen höllischen Lärm. Neue Handtücher kamen nur nach Aufforderung. In der kleinen Küche fehlen Gläser ,somit lässt sich das bereitgestellte Wasser und der Wein nur aus der Flasche trinken. Die Toilettenbürste , ekelhaft . Eine Neue kostet keine 10€. In der Dusche läuft das meiste Wasser der Wand runter, Anschluss nicht dicht. Treppenaufgang, Flur und Zimmer nicht ordentlich gereinigt . Siehe Titel meiner Bewertung.

Mehr Rheingau geht nicht. Ein sehr sympathisches Team mit einer der besten Weinangebote im Rheingau, sehr leckerem Essen (wir waren zu viert und alle megahappy). Die Zimmer sind modern ausgestattet, aufgrund der baulichen Gegebenheiten in den wunderschönen historischen Häusern mal größer, mal kleiner, mal verwinkelt, mal mit Balken, mal mit Badeann, mal mit Dusche (wir hatten vier Zimmer), aber immer liebevoll dekoriert. Die Lage ist perfekt, einen Steinwurf zur berühmten Drosselgasse und der Seilbahn zum Niederalddenkmal, Parklatz fast vor der Tür und dennoch direkt an den Weinbergen. Wir hatten sehr viel Freude mit dem tollen Hotel und Restaurant und zum Abschluss haben wir noch ein paar Kisten Wein aus der hauseigenen Vinothek mit Weinen von allen Rheingauer Weingütern, die Rang und Namen haben, mitgenommen. Danke für eine tolle Zeit.
