Arcadia Lodge is a stunning property with amazing views and hosted by 2 guys, Greg and Peter, who just want you to have a fabulous time and will arrange any activity you want to do in the area. Peters breakfasts are to die for and we found lunch wasn’t needed! We stayed 5 nights and found plenty to do in the area. Arcadia Lodge was a great place to relax in the evening if we’d dined out. The house itself has an interesting history and full of character. It is beautifully appointed as was our room. A sundowner on the terrace ( or personal balcony) overlooking the lovely bay is the icing on the cake. We would definitely recommend it if you are in this part of NZ.

Stayed for 3 nights in the Te Punga suite. A warm welcome and chat about the excellent facilities and locality. Very comfortable room and a delicious breakfast each morning. Peter & Greig were wonderful hosts. The lodge is within easy walking distance for restaurants. Directions for car parking and main entrance are by the main road entrance. Happy memories of our stay.

Excellent stay. Beautiful location. Wonderful to eat Peter’s lovely breakfast outside on the deck with the amazing view. Peter & Greg gave us great recommendations for a sailing trip & a brilliant restaurant- both memorable. Very friendly & professional. Highly recommended. We would like to return.

Hospitality at its finest. A home away from home. Genuine warmth and care from the excellent hosts Greg and Peter. A serious medical emergency dealt with professionally and calmly. They could not have done more. Superb breakfast. Great location. Thanks for everything.

After a lot of searching we booked direct about 5 months ahead.Russell is magical and Greg advised us very well on where and what to do on our short stay at the time we booked..The lodge is an old building but our room and the communal rooms were sensitively updated and very comfortable.The views all around were simply stunning.Peter's cooked breakfasts were great and original.We had an issue with our car and Peter,unprompted,sorted it for us. All in all an outstanding stay in a great location and with excellent hosts.

Beautiful property with lovely hosts. Peter and Greg were welcoming and very knowledgeable about their area. Breakfast was delicious and the view from our room was glorious. We spent 3 days at Arcadia Lodge and really, enjoyed it. Would highly recommend it.

Greg and Peter are the most friendly and accommodating hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. On arrival we were given great recommendations re places to visit, local restaurants and walks. The location is simply beautiful. An immaculately maintained house and beautiful garden with much local history in a prime position overlooking the bay. Our room was very comfortable. The bed in particular. You also won’t get a better gourmet breakfast experience with Peter producing some truly amazing dishes served up perfectly by Greg. If you’re in Russell you will be hard pushed to find a more perfect place to stay. Highly recommended ❤️

A wonderful stay at probably the best B&B we've stayed at in New Zealand. From the sublime freshly cooked breakfasts by Peter through to Greg's brilliant front of house service everything is just perfect. A great situation too with beautiful views and a short walk into centre of Russell
