I think the appeal of coronavirus countermeasures is going too far. Even though I came with my family, we ate meals diagonally in front of us instead of face to face. It was difficult to put on vinyl gloves when I went on a buffet because they were so small.

It was close to the interchange and the hot spring (open-air bath) was great. The room was clean, but there were only a few outlets available. Extension cords are available for rent.

The service of the employees was very good.

It is a high value hotel. Stayed for 2 consecutive nights in room 301 (Gassan) from July 24th. There are only 3 grand Japanese-style rooms on the 3rd floor. It seems like it was renovated in 2022, and the tatami mats are new and comfortable. The room is very spacious and comfortable, with 30 tatami mats, dining room, washroom, etc. However, it is a pity that the TV is a little small. The view is of the Mogami River and countryside to the south, with Yamagata City and the Zao Mountain Range in the distance. Of particular note are the hot springs. There is also an open-air bath. The hot spring building connected to the hotel building incorporates the best aspects of Japanese architecture. The indoor public bath has a very nice wooden feel. Hot water is always flowing. There are over a dozen washrooms. As a precaution against the coronavirus, every other item is marked for use. There is also a sauna, although I didn't use it. It was never crowded. Dinner is a multi-course meal made with local ingredients. Large banquet hall and private rooms available. Breakfast is buffet and Japanese kaiseki. The lobby/lounge is spacious, and the front staff is also very impressive. It also has a chapel and seems to be used as a wedding venue. On the second day, the parking lot was full due to a large meeting of local companies. It's far from town, quiet, and perfect for relaxing in a hot spring. It took less than 3 minutes to get to the Smart IC in the Sagae service area, making it convenient for using the Yamagata Expressway. Until now, I had only stayed at Zao Onsen when staying in Yamagata Prefecture, so when using Yamagata Airport, I felt that Sagae Onsen, which is about a 30 minute drive away, would be convenient and good.

山形道の寒河江サービスエリアに隣接するホテルです。スマートインターで、高速から直接出入りできます。ただし、車以外のアクセスはあまり良いとは言えないかもしれません。 ホテル自体は結婚式場もある総合的なホテルという感じで、茶褐色の特徴的な温泉もあり、部屋も清潔感がありました。 スタッフの方々も地元の人なのかほのぼのとした接遇です。コスパ的には良いホテルだと思います。
