A family trip to this place for a night's stay. Beautiful, well maintained resort. Pool is clean. Rooms are spacious and bed is comfy. Staff are courteous and friendly. Excellent service. Vegeterian food is awesome which portrays authentic Malnad cuisine. The approach road to the resort is muddy, narrow and bumpy. The resort is situated in the interiors amidst greenery hence quiet. Close proximity to Jog falls.

This is a very good place to stay near Jog falls. This is just 10mins drive to jog falls. Select a room with balcony. Please enjoy the darkness AND early mornings. The place is fully secured with cameras. This is in a village and need not worry about security. Only few rooms were occupied during our stay and we did not any threat due to insecurity. Very peaceful place. Hot water is available 24hrs. Clean toilets and bedspreads. Management has to consider replacing the towels - they are washed and clean BUT are old and stained. No AC, NO TV - spend time with family is the motto. The place is cool so AC is NOT required. We took few foods in the resort. They provided very clean food. Chief cook made us Veg pulav this was a WOW. Charges for the food is a bit higher side - probably due to overheads. Management can conder to reduce this . My family enjoyed the stay.

We stayed at a small hotel called Mathuga, which is 8 kilometers towards Sagara from Jog Falls, just 500 meters off the main road to the state highway. The hotel has put up some signs at the crossroads, making it easy to identify. They offer various room types, costing approximately ₹3200-4000 for two guests, with or without food. The hotel also has a pool that was decently maintained.

Was a decent place to stay. Only draw back is that there is no room service at all leading to hardship in the event of rain. Staff were very helpful. Vegetarian food served was decent and hygienic. Risk of unwanted creatures creeping into the rooms during rain
