This has been the worst experience I have ever had in any hotel. I came here to work in a nearby hospital, and just needed a comfortable place to sleep. Lobby smells like stale smoke even though it’s “non-smoking”. I reserved and paid for the hotel room AFTER 4pm. The desk clerk said to me “if you get your hair dye on any of the linens, you will forfeit the deposit.” Okay, that’s an interesting way to broach the topic. Yet, when I went to the room upon arrival, it was filthy. Absolutely disgusting. It smelled stale and dirty. There was food on the floor, incredibly questionable stains on all of the sheets, comforters, blankets. The room had clearly not been cleaned. I tell the desk clerk that I would like a refund because a new room would likely not be any cleaner. She then informed me that she would only refund my money for the following night, but would not refund me for the stay tonight because of the “cancellation policy”. I’m still not understanding how I should have known how awful and disgusting the room would be before booking, or how I should have cancelled prior to making the reservation. (She was telling me that it had to be cancelled two days prior when it was literally made an hour before I checked in, and paid for when I arrived). I was brought to another room since I was being refused a refund for that night even though I hadn’t spent more than 15 minutes in the first room. The second room was just as disgusting. Patchwork on the ceiling in the bathroom that looked like it would fall down any moment, food on the floor, SOCKS under the bed, more questionable stains on the bed. I have pictures of all of it. When I told her that I was going to leave a negative review because of the lack of resolution, she gave me a thumbs up. If this is the way that this business conducts them self, I will make sure to tell everyone I encounter to steer clear of this place. I’m utterly disgusted and disappointed. Just to mention- this was $80/night DISCOUNTED. I ended up eating the cost and spending more money to go somewhere I’m not concerned about rolling around in someone else’s bodily fluids.
