Cardigan Bay Holiday Park

Pretty little site. The caravan we were allocated was brand new and we were the first to stay in it. We used the site as a base for seeing the area. There are only the site facilities available, so club house bar and swimming pool, but no other outlets. The staff were helpful and friendly. We found the prices in the bar for food and drink expensive but it is a captive audience and we only used it once. Nothing close by within walking distance. There is an hotel further up the road but it is a hike. Nice few days.

Absolutely perfect holiday park in every way. Our caravan was beautiful and spotlessly clean, comfy beds and very spacious. The restaurant served lovely food and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. A special mention to the young bar man who was so lovely. Location was perfect as a short walk to a beautiful blue flag beach and close to plenty of places to visit l. We loved Cardigan and the local animal farm. Would highly recommend this park if you enjoy peace and quiet, perfect for us x

Wow! What a place! The caravan site was amazing, very clean with modern caravans in a peaceful part of Wales and only a short walk from the beautiful Poppit Sands Beach. All of the staff on site were welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great holiday. The food in the Dolphin Bar restaurant was so tasty with generous portions, we stuffed our faces with yummy food every day. It's just a shame it was only open from 4pm - I would have had all my meals there if I could have! I can't comment on the evening on site entertainment as we didn't stay for that but the swimming pool was great and the hot tub was even better. We also used the pool table and air hockey machine. On the whole a fabulous holiday and we will definitely stay there again.

Easy to find with great access to the large beach of Poppit Sands which has very fine sand and loads of dogs. The road in from Cardigan and St Dogmaels has a few narrow places so be prepared to reverse ant to tuck in. There’s no priority given to vehicles going uphill like there’s supposed to be - exactly the opposite in fact. The restaurant was reasonably priced and also prepared to serve a beef burger cooked rare which is usually an indicator of a place that prepares meat to order (but I don’t know for sure). The bar has a very small range of draught beers and a small range of bottled beers. Don’t know about wine, spirits etc. Didn’t make use of other on-site facilities like the pool, hot tub or laundrette. Car parking is quite limited and although the spaces are wide, the turning space is poor. Caravan was mostly ok with decent shower, central heating and combo boiler. Pathetic bottled gas oven. Bigger tv would have been nice but it worked well. Kitchen sink too small and tap spout too low to fill a 1 litre thermos flask. Storage space in the caravan was just about ok but drying space inside was very poor. There is absolutely no telephone signal on site on any network that we tried. A local at the nearby pub told us that Three was probably the best around the area but as the Yanks would say, YMMV. There was a signal on the beach but for me on O2, the area was pretty poor. The site internet was excellent for speed, about 75 Mbit/sec download and rather usually, 85 Mbit/sec upload. Might be using a Ubiquiti system. One or two completely innocent web sites didn’t load but not sure where the failure occurred. Dog friendly place and there’s plenty of them. One crapped right outside our caravan and the owner had only made a half-hearted attempt at a grab. Pretty foul with kids around. In all, a pretty good place but be prepared for poor phone connectivity in loads of places and narrow roads (but with good surfaces).

Really can’t fault this place. The staff were lovely, everywhere was spotless and well looked after. The kids LOVED the evening entertainment! Food in the clubhouse was excellent and reasonably priced. We had a couple of hot days and it felt like we were on a complex abroad. The beach at Poppit is lovely and only a 5 min walk. If you want a lively resort then this isn’t the place for you and I imagine out of the school hols it would be very quiet which suits some but if taking children maybe not. Cardigan is 10 minutes in the car with plenty of shops/places to eat. Will be going back next year!

it’s not for children as advertised. it was deserted when I arrived. this park is for much older or residential holidaymaker. No other children there, so my child had no one to play with. The shop advertised by hoseasons was a cupboard with very little in it. No entertainment in the evening and actually closed for 2 days of the 4 day break

This is the first time we stayed at this park.We was meant to stay for a week but ended up extending our stay for another week. The park is set in beautiful grounds,so peaceful. Everyone was so friendly and all the staff was great. Yvonne and Adrian the site managers was excellent nothing was to much trouble. The caravan it's self was beautiful and very well equipped.The facilities are great to,and food was amazing. The beach is in walking distance through a lovely wooded area. If you are looking for a lovely holiday I really can not recommend this place enough We will certainly come back. A big thank you to all for such a friendly stay will certainly miss it.

My family and I visited last weekend we were a bit disheartened at first due to the fact we felt it was a bit falsely advertised the caravan we selected and what we had was nothing like the pictures! It was advertised as having a arcade this was not the case there was 5 maybe 6 machines only 2 that worked. The facilities looked tired and worn out we was told that it had just been taken over by new Owners this what not advertised or addressed until a complaint was made. It wasn’t very family friendly at all it was more of an older generation resort who also were not friendly!!! I felt the staff were very confused and didn’t know a great deal when asked questions personally I would of waited till things were in place properly and up and running witj everybody knowing what they were doing before advertising for customers to visit I appreciate money needs to be made but it wasn’t the cheapest of holidays and I felt disappointed the entire time! Other than that the scenery was beautiful the beach is a 10 minute walk which was perfect as we brought our dog with us. There is not a great deal around the area extremely quiet and in the middle of no where but if you want a quiet holiday I would highly recommend.

We have had a fantastic time. The park is lovely, the location is superb and the quality of the facilities is excellent. All the staff are helpful and polite and it is wonderful to see that many of the staff have been with the park for years. The cleanliness is of a very high standard in the accommodation, pool, restaurant and communal area. We have been visiting Cardigan Bay for many years with our children and it was a pleasure to visit with my new granddaughter for the first time last weekend. We will certainly be returning and are looking forward to staying with you again. We are always recommending the park to friends and family, the park is suitable for families, couples and nature lovers. Anyone who hasn't visited is missing out.
