Residence Inn by Marriott St. Louis Downtown

They claimed I smoked in my room which as many times as I stayed there this one time I smoked in my room no I don’t think so and they kept my deposit. They where very rude , there was no dishes in either room I stayed in . The couches were nasty with stains. And at breakfast there is a guy who works in the kitchen who hovers over you while you’re making your breakfast telling you how much to get how do you know it’s just one person in a persons room could have kids he doesn’t know they shouldn’t allow him to do that!

Overall it was underwhelming and we won't be back. The parking lot is not run by the hotel so when we accidentally paid for two nights instead of one, we were given a generic email and no other way of getting a refund. I will avoid the property in the future just on this point. Honestly I wouldn't have booked if I had known parking was separate. Many people were having trouble with their keys working inconsistently. A few of of the pans in the kitchen were dirty when I pulled them out. The elevator was down due to lack of parts, which I realize can't be helped but really did mean a lot of waiting. The bedroom was too small for a king bed. The door brushed the bed when it opened and there wasn't anywhere for us to put our toddler on the little blow up bed that we have for him which is why we like getting a separate bedroom in the first place. The bed was so poorly made that the fitted sheet and mattress pad had come off. In the first 5 minutes of sleep. The smoke detector had a blinking light that was mounted on the wall in front of the bed. It was bright enough that I could count the seconds between flashes with my eyes closed. The TV in the bedroom didn't work and when we called it rang for 5 min without an answer. All things that individually would not be a huge deal, but added together in a one night stay was enough to put us off this chain. Breakfast was nice with plenty of room for how many people were in the building. Staff kept up with the food and the crowd.

We like staying there when we come down to see the Cardinals play ball. It's still close to everything. All went well again.

Genuinely the worst place I've ever stayed at don't advertise a hottub in pictures than have it cemented over waste of money and the showers and toilets don't work for squat tried to shower on 3 separate days and each day the shower would only produce water drops here and there barely enough to fill a small cup all in all never coming back highly recommend going somewhere else if you want a truthful experience

Our room was clean We stayed for one night. A family of 5. Spacious room. Amazing breakfast Clean hotel My only disappointment was the parking charge, why would a hotel charge their customers to park in their parking lot? That's beyond me $28 per day

First room they gave us had wet carpet but they got us moved to a new room. It was not a bad place to stay and the 2br suite was great for our family. The lobby smells so nice.

Suite was well stocked with utensils etc. The room was clean. Staff was nice. Pool was small and our bathroom door in our room didn’t latch, which was tough with 2 toddlers waddling about.

The keys didn’t work every afternoon. We had to go down and get new keys. We were short one more in the room and the did not work when I couldn’t even turn off the television. Water never was hot in the room.
