great Hotel a must stay and do the tour!

We arrived at the hotel around 11am to store our luggage before going on a tour but the hotel was able to check us in with a different room type, which we gladly accepted. Thank you!

This place is from the Gilded Age and beautiful. The flooring, tiling, the atmosphere was cool. The one thing, though, was that the valet was extremely difficult to work with and not labeled to where to go, there was no signage anywhere. We had to drive around the city and find a place to park to call the hotel—which was no help. The staff had absolutely no idea where to tell us to go, and when we finally did, we sat in a lane of traffic IN THE ROAD while other sped through and were told to leave everything there and the vehicle. We received two different valet tickets. It’s a real circus there. We went inside after not knowing where our vehicle would end up, and were greeted with the stunning building, but again, NO SIGNS pointing ANYWHERE to the check in, restaurant, or the “market” that was closed at 9:00pm — which didn’t help when I needed an Advil to rid my fever. We could simply not navigate through this place. I would never, ever stay there again. I spent $600 for ONE night and the only thing ‘worth it’ was the free water bottles from the coffee maker. Terrible, terrible. I was disgusted, and disappointed.

This is a historic site and a neat old building . There is a lot of stuff to do and see here. Cool board walk area with big koi pond, restaurant, small playground, mini golf, Ferris wheel, aquarium. Too much to list. The light show in the lobby area was awesome.. Our room was clean and solid, no complaints. Staff was friendly. Not really negatives, but just things to be aware of; 1. It’s kinda laid out weird and takes some time to figure out where you are going. If you’re here for any length of time I think most people can figure it out and get used to the layout. The hotel itself isn’t as big as I imagined reading some of the other comments prior to our stay. 2. If you are hauling a bunch of stuff, ask for a cart. It’s quite a haul without one 3. Don’t forget your room key. There are vestibules between the sections and you can get in them without a room key, but you’ll need a room key to get out without being forced to go outside. 4. Be sure to check out the boardwalk and restaurants behind the pool.

There is so much to do in this little spot. So much history to walk around and look at inside the hotel and outside.

Snowed out and could not cancel. Sure room was fine but they were not accommodating. Not end of world.

Staff was very friendly and its close to athe Enterprise Center so we didnt have to worry about parking for our event we were going to.

The staff was amazing!!! Every person we came in contact with from the valet to front desk, waitress at the bar, waiter for breakfast at the grille and concierge. ALL were kind and so helpful. The BEST staff experience I’ve ever had at a hotel!!! You ALL are the best. The breakfast buffet was so good!! The food from the bar the night before, chefs kiss! Thank you for an amazing first time experience! We are already planning our trip back!!

The staff was wonderful with the exception of the front desk woman that checked me in. The room was not very clean but and the hallways smelled like mildew.
