Tru by Hilton St. Louis Downtown

I didn't like the fact that if you wanted parking you can either pay meter 2 dollars an hour from 8 in morning till 7 at night or you could do valet parking and that cost 55 plus tax a night. The price of hotel was cheaper then the parking. The gps going through the app they didn't give me alternative route when the street the hotel is on is blocked off due to construction. They did a housecleaning but forgot to leave towels so when I called from 9th floor they told me I had to come get them. The room was clean bed was comfortable they just need to tweek a few things

The front desk attendant was fantastic, and super helpful for our stay. The valet was also great and prompt, all while handling a large number of guest at the same time.

We were checked in by a semi-snarky clerk. We had to pay an extra $55 to have our car valeted overnight. Any other parking options were not safe or practical. The interior of the hotel was bright and shiny on the main floor but in dreadful repair elsewhere. E.g. the flooring on the exterior hallway corridor was coming up/non-existent, as was the elevator floor. The door to our room did not fit the jamb and had to be forced open and closed.

I did not like when I went to the front desk for towers. I had to wait until someone bring them to the room. Also, I met the guy in the hallway he assist on bringing the towers inside of my room that made my husband very uncomfortable because I was at the door to receive the towers. He still did not want to give me the towel. I believe that he should not have came in my privacy room the janitor I believe he was the supervisor. Everything else was great.

Overall, it was an okay stay. We were only in the room to sleep really. The room was ok, pretty basic with not much on it. As a Hilton Member, i thought we were supposed to receive 2 free waters and a g
