Nice staff, clean room (even a bit too strong on the smell of the cleansing stuff! ;-), and especially NO noise on the parking area side. (Only some people in the room above or not far started hollering around at half past one in the morning, but someone apparently banged on their door and ordered them to stop). Only the shower had a problem: it was very hard to turn on/off the taps and it took me at least five minutes to balance cold and hot. before I could actually have a shower. In the morning, my next-door neighbour asked for help because he couldn't turn off the burning hot water! Also, in my own room, the ring supporting the shower head was broken (fortunately I am not tall!). So, apart from the shower problem, it was quiet, clean and nice!

We stayed one night at this fun hostel located in a convenient area of Tours. It’s an easy walk to the center of town. However we were glad that the hostel has a bar which also offered a a few snack ps. When we arrived (very hungry from a long day of travel), we were able to relax with a drink and a cheese/meat platter. They also provide luggage storage if you arrive before check in time. There is also a restaurant, which we didn’t try because it opened later. We reserved a private room with bath that was small, but comfortable and quiet. We had a great night’s sleep and would recommend the hostel for a short stay. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is perfect for the guests. The room is perfectly hygienic , a sports room that has nothing to envy the palaces ( and I know what I am talking about having tested the Normandy palace that was in a stupid state ) perfect hygiene vélo tapis ramer and elliptical everything is there. I put 3/5 because I couldn't enjoy the benefit. Negotiation with the hotel is impossible to delay the reservation of a night (even paying a surcharge) because I took the unchanged price option. Sorry, since the hotel is far from being filled at that date.

In the complex apartment vote 7/10:wide,complete of everything, balcony,releasantly clean ; negative sides shower in bath, no air conditioning, mattress bed sofa, BAND THE MOQUETTE!! The hotel has a bell and a bell pool of water, and it is too hot, but the boys have enjoyed a half hour. Inflexible on check-in saying the room would be ready at 17:00, after a variety of hurry and laughs to take you around by them, carefully not to get the chief in the next office, They continued to postpone the allocation of the room .. and finally hand keys at 17.30. Check out is at morning .... Furthermore, I didn't understand the room number of the apartments, instead of helping me by writing them or by saying a number at once, she was shocked to continue to repeat the numbers in full in French. In addition to the fact that when I spoke to her in English to complain about the late room, they did not understand and started to answer me in this language.I'm sorry, but as a client I didn't like it at all, total lack of friendliness and professionalism.

This property is NOT 5 star - maybe 3.5 star. The bedroom suite was not clean with dirt on the carpet. Wash hand basin grimy and had to be cleaned ourselves before use, Room drinking water not replenished, tissue box empty, no spare loo roll, etc. Sloppy housekeeping. The decor throughout was tired and worn and cannot even be called shabby chic! Bedroom furniture tatty with drawers and cupboards not closing properly.Restaurant was very mediocre with limited choice. Bread rolls were uncooked inside and butter rock-hard and clearly straight from the fridge. Servers did not know the menu or wine list and to wear trainers in what is supposed to be a 5 star restaurant? Really! Staff should be sent on a training course at a real 5 star establishment to be taught how it should be done. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. Bad luck if you are allocated a first floor room with others in the room above as the floors creak terribly. This hotel is very overpriced for what is offered. We suspect the owners think they have a good looking exterior (true) which is sufficient to attract guests. Well, we will not be returning and there are so many better properties in the Loire Valley area. Sorry to be so negative but this place was very disappointing and needs to be revitalised with better management )and some money being spent) before it can stand as a five star property.

This hotel has a friendly helpful staff. If you have read the reviews, you know there is a restaurant on premise. The breakfast menu there is great (on par with most other Ibis and Mercure properties we have stayed at in France. The dinner menu is primarily Italian with one or two French offerings. Unlike some reviews I read, the Pizza is very good (like in Italy good). Here are some things you should know about this hotel. It is about 2.5 miles from Amboise in the middle of an industrial park! The hotel restaurant is your only option unless you walk 1.2 miles to McDonald’s or take a taxi into town (17 Euros one way) or ride the local bus route (.70 Euro one way). We found the local bus to be a viable option - ask at the front desk for the schedule. This hotel is pretty old compared to most Ibis hotels and was remodeled several years ago. The rooms are very small (per European standard) and are clean. The air conditioning does not work well. We were in two different rooms and with the air on lowest setting neither room would cool below 29 Centigrade. The outside temp while we were there was 19!!! We complained so they moved us to the second room with still no air conditioning. The front desk looked upset and suggested we turn off the air and open the window! This hotel and most other Ibis properties do not have window screens (invented in the 19th century to stop insect borne diseases). By morning, my wife and I were both covered with mosquito bites. You should also know that it is the policy of Ibis hotels in France to switch their systems from cooling to heating - no exceptions for guest comfort. We have been staying in Ibis and Mercure properties all over France so we know them well. We next went to a Mercure hotel in Saumur and it was lovely! The air worked well there.

I cannot find Kyriad’s restaurant name Parvie to review so I will do it here. We just returned our rental car to Enterprise and the guys there recommended we try Parvie for quick snack since we have about 1 hour until our train to Paris arrives. Upon entering, we were greeted by Lucas and Clara. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and modern decor of the dining room. Clara had such a jovial and pleasing attitude. She explained and answered all our questions. And Lucas was so helpful and attentive. We told them if they can make our food fast and they sure did! The food selection was just wonderful. We told . We were very fortunate to have gone to this restaurant and have such a wonderful experience provided by Clara and Lucas. Sorry we couldn’t say good y as we only had 5 minutes until our train departs. This is a really lovely hotel - all the windows and doors were open when we stayed during hot weather so the place was light and airy. The staff are really helpful and welcoming. Our room looked out onto the terrace and garden area where guests can have a drink and or something to eat. The breakfast offered a lot of choices and was very good quality. If you have never been to Amboise before it is a beautiful place with plenty to see and do but there is very little in the way of public transport and we struggled to get a taxi back to the train station. Depending on how quickly you walk the hotel is about a 25 minute walk into the centre which is beautiful.
