Dell Arte Hotel

Facilities: Average. It's tucked away in an apartment building, a bit hard to find. The room is on the fourth floor with no elevator, but it's spacious and well-heated. Cleanliness: Satisfactory. It's cleaned daily. Environment: Excellent. Nevsky Prospekt is right downstairs, and buses, subways, restaurants, and supermarkets are all within easy reach. Service: So-so. It has everything you need, but the front desk staff doesn't speak English well, and their service attitude is average.

Stayed for one night. Clean, warm. Large comfortable bed.

We stayed at the Dell Arte Hotel from December 26th to 29th, 2024. We booked in advance, primarily attracted by the location (a 5-minute walk from Moskovsky Station and the metro, with public transportation nearby) and the price (we paid just over 5,000 rubles for a three-day stay, including an early check-in fee). I'll say right away that we weren't disappointed, so after finding exclusively negative reviews from previous guests on this website, I wanted to give it a try. Firstly, all our requests expressed during booking were taken into account. Secondly, they allowed us an early check-in, and we were already in our room by 8 a.m., giving us the opportunity to rest, freshen up, and spend a full day exploring our favorite city. The room is a comfortable double, with excellent beds and mattresses, crisp white linens and towels, and extra pillows were provided upon request, making our sleep very comfortable. The bathroom is also in excellent condition, odor-free, and everything is spotlessly clean. We had a room facing Nevsky Prospekt, which didn't bother us; it even added a touch of character. If you want a room facing the courtyard, ask when booking—it's quieter there, but of course, you won't have the same view. Having read reviews, we knew there wasn't a kettle in the room, but there's a very cozy dining room on the second floor (for those ordering breakfast) with a kettle, toaster, and microwave available for use. There's a kitchen on the fifth floor with electric stoves and some kitchenware. We brought our own cutlery, coffee cups, and disposable plates to avoid sharing, but the kitchen/dining room also has a minimum of cutlery and plates. Frankly, we weren't particularly keen on cooking, and the kitchen wasn't particularly conducive to it (it resembled a scruffy communal kitchen), but it was perfectly adequate for boiling eggs and sausages, making coffee, and using the dining area to avoid breakfast in the room. Near the hotel, there's a whole arsenal of pastry shops, coffee shops, cafeterias, a pizzeria, and more. The concierges are polite, attentive, and discreet. Cleaning was done regularly. So, if you don't expect 5-star service and swan-shaped towels for the price of economy class, this place won't disappoint. We've definitely made a point of it and will definitely return.

The facade is being renovated, which they didn't warn us about. It's dirty, there's a smell of paint, the windows can't be opened, the air conditioners are removed, and we only got our money back after the "island" intervened—we booked through them. Our vacation was ruined, and we had to scramble to find a hotel on the spot. Our reservation was from July 30 to August 3, 2024. I can't even comment on the administrator's request for patience.

My friend and I stayed from August 12th to August 16th, 2023. We paid 13,775 rubles in total. I'll attach photos below, but for that kind of money, you'd be better off finding a better place than this hotel. The first thing we noticed when we checked in was a hole in the middle of the curtain. We later discovered that the shelves on the chained nightstands were missing, and the handles were also missing. The walls were all dirty, with some kind of splatter, and there was a large leak at the top from where the room above had once been flooded. There was air conditioning and a fan, but only the fan worked. The walls were thin ahead of schedule, so we could hear the neighbors. The room was poorly cleaned; our feet were immediately dirty after a shower. Although we constantly asked for cleaning, they only took out the trash after leaving. There was no wet cleaning at all. The faucet in the bathroom was broken. We didn't immediately figure out if it worked, but the receptionist showed us what to pull to get the water to flow. And she looked at us so strangely, as if a broken, leaking faucet was normal. Overall, I recommend finding a better place for the money.
